1. Yep, that's what everyone else thought on the other thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/263138-how-many-adam-clayton-sig-basses-do-we-need/page__st__30__p__2787910__hl__clayton__fromsearch__1#entry2787910 Have a nice day
2. IMHO if you're wanting a Streamer, then buy a Streamer. A good secondhand German built Streamer can be bought for £800 - 1000. I say save the money and get what you really want. If you're wanting to take advantage of the distance selling rules - being able to try before you buy, find a BCer with a Streamer and go try one.
3. Greetings Joboy. welcome to Basschat. You may like to know that you can advertise basses for sale on BC, but blatant plugs of your ebay ad are not permitted. GLWTS.
4. I have a Fender MIM P 2006. Lovely loud output, really punchy and good in the hands, but it's bugging me as the frets aren't level. I've have 2-3 Squires and never had an issue. So, it's a clear certainty, Squiers are better than Fenders. After all, my experience proves it, doesn't it? That's the problem with all of these "comparisons". It always makes me laugh I hear others saying this kind of thing. Comparing less than 10-20 basses is no comparison at all. The sample is too small to ignore the "good/bad luck" factor. Buy a bass, enjoy it or sell and try again.
5. It's not the same as my Squier Precision PJ Standard - too few holes on the top edge.
6.
not a lot of interest altho lots of views. Do you think i'm pricing too high. ? Dave
I had the pleasure of meeting another BCer this weekend and tried what \I guess was a Bergantino AE212, powered with my Mark Bass LM3. It sounded great. He sold the 212 for around the £800 mark. It's amazingly light and sound is good and clean. So you can always add some dirt using a pedal and get the RIGHT amount of dirt in the sound, if you want dirt that is. This set your selling has more versatility (use 1 only for smaller gigs) and more tweeter-power. I reckon the price is about right. The looking is a bit like selling an Aston Martin, you'll get plenty of wanna-be owners, but it will be a bit rich for a lot of tastes; me included. But the price is fair IMHO. All you need is the right viewer, that may take 2 days, 2 weeks or 2 months... 7. That is one amazing intrument in the making, as always. Thanks for sharing.

Went today and met Freddie and bought from him his Mark Bass LM3. He's a charming guy and a true gent. Would deal with him again with pleasure. Many thanks Freddie.
9. How does the guitarist rate his own performance? Speaking as a relative noon to bass I don't rate my playing to highly. I'm not in a band right now, but if I were telling me to "up my game" wouldn't be exactly constructive. It's like telling a football player "be a better player". Maybe the idea of getting together for a jam is more what he needs. Good luck.
10.
Er... a secret society..?
LOL. I was only wondering. My thinking is if you know the order of the 5ths then you automatically know what note you'll find above/below another note. C, G, D, A, E, B, F#, C#, G#, D#, A#, F, C
11. Sold Tim my MarkBass LM2. He's a man of his word and a pleasure to deal with. Many thanks Tim.
12. Surely, this becomes easier, irrespective of the number of frets if you know the circle of 5ths? Do you know the circle of 5ths?
13.
Well I`d thoroughly recommend it Rich, I had "enlightenment" when trying one out at the SE Bass Bash last year - within a week I`d sourced said rig on here.
My problem is getting it quiet enough. I've just agreed a sale on my Barefaced BigOne - 1x 15" and 1x 6". I'm getting cold feet on the sale and wondering if I'd be better with a 12". But I like the deep tone I got with the 15". I've sold my LM2 as well, but I'm thinking of looking about on all this and trying to find a good set-up. My problem is not being in a band, no real time to be in one either. So I simply want a great tone in the lounge at home. If I can still have a rig that has the flexibility to be able to deliver volume too, if a gig comes up, that would be good. Easily pleased aren't I?
14. Hi there, This wonderous cab has been sitting in my lounge since I bought it from Mr Discreet, of this parish. It's had a small number of evenings out, but the condition and everything is exactly as it was when I bought it. It still has a good cover and all is still working well. You're welcome to come over to my place and give it a spin. I've been using it mostly for home practice in my lounge with a Little Mark II amp, which is also up for grabs. I'll miss them both. The sound is amazing, giving a real open clean sound; as you'd expect from a Barefaced. Mr Discreet gave a really full and honest description: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 If you want more pics then I'll be happy to post some, but the ones in the old thread are a good representation of the condition etc. Thanks for looking I'd be happy to ship, but really I doubt you'd like to pay the postage. I do travel about a bit in the southern half of the country, so if you'd like it delivered then PM me. Thanks for looking
15. Hi there, I've come to the conclusion this amp, while light in weight and heavy on performance is just a mite big for only being used in the lounge at home. So it's up for grabs. This one comes with a hard case, mains lead and speakon - speakon cable. I'd love to say its been hardly used, but the previous owner gigged it as a real work-horse. It's missing a screw or 2 in the build of it, but it's fully functional and, if you're looking for a great sound at a good price to get you gigging look no further. If I were in a band this amazing piece of kit would be going nowhere, but sadly not the case. Here's the spec and stuff from the Mark Bass web site: http://www.markbass....etail.php?id=69 Come on and grab a bargain while I'm feeling generous. I can ship it if you wish - cost to the UK: £16 insured.
16. Just met Chris for a coffee, chat and he gave me a box of mags. He's a really nice guy. Would be very happy to deal with him on a more "financial footing". Many thanks Chris.
17. I'm always amazed by the high number of folk selling a bass who know nothing about the item. If they know nothing, how did they come to have it to sell? Either a lot of bass players die still owning a bass or house clearance, or are they knocked off?
18.
I've done it countless times, for the same reason you mention or other kind of work on the bass. I have removed flats and stored them, just to be fitted later on another bass, as flatwounds is a kind of string I only ever want once in a while... I haven't noticed any problems.
+3
19. Hey Lazarus! Welcome to Basschat. Nice piece of kit there. Good luck with the sale.
20. Zoom B3 is a good, easy looper - Vic Wooten uses one on stage. It also has loads of other stuff on there and drum loops too. I can bring one to the Herts Bass Bash if you'd like to try one.
