1.
You beat me to it (I guess that means I'm stuck in the queue behind you.) Those of us of a certain age will recall that the going rate was 1d. Now, at yer typical railway station, it's up to 30p. Which is 72d!
+1
2. DAMN!!! I missed voting. I was REALLY stuck on who to vote for this month it was a really tough one. Well done and FULL credit all you guys. PS; Nice duck pic.
3.
Great value for 39 Squid ! I'll have it if your sale falls through.
Many thanks for the offer. I've already had anothe PM so you're 2nd in line if it falls through. I think we can say this one is sold. Many thanks
4.
wheres the truss rod?
LOL!! Good question...
5. Hi there, I'm having a clear out and I'm selling this P-Bass body. It's made of a light weight solid wood. The paint is in good condition; not totally mark free, but there's no real dings. The paint is sparkly "silver". It has a slight greenish look to the silver though. The pups are un-branded but have a hot vintage tone to them. The elects have been changed to CTS with a Sprague orange capacitor. The screws and neck plate are included. I'm looking for £39 for this inc postage to the UK. Thanks for looking.
6. Hi there, I'm having a clear out and here's a P-bass neck I'm selling. The frets are great. It's not seen a lot of action, so it's in great condition. I'm looking for £28 inc postage to the UK Thanks for looking
7. Douglas bought some tuners from me. He's a great guy, but then you knew that from his posts on BC. Many thanks, Douglas. Cheers Rich
8. If it will genuinely cost £75 to fix a guitar that only sold for £100, it's effectively a write off. Why not find a local BCer to pick it up from him and betweenyou and the local guy decide what action to take. If it can be fixed for a good price, then at least you will be all the better for it rather than the buyer.
9.
Thanks all. I love a good bass part, and have great difficulty finding bass players - where is everyone?
Sitting at my dining table. But I can't speak for the others.
10. Hi Twangster, Welcome to BC. I'm from East Herts. Good luck with the bass
11. Many thanks for the comments, guys. Speaking for myself, I never use thw tone on a passive bass anyway. I always find the tone makes it sound odd. I prefer to bass boost on the amp eq. Each to their own I guess. This is a real solid bass. Thee neck pocket is really good. Maybe I'll post pics. In any case, I'm happy for anyone to try it.
12. Much as TAB irritates the snob in me, I'd say that TAB would make your work open to a bigger market. That's to say more folk read TAB.
13. Yes, I've also got a natural streamer and a Tobacco oiled one. Both are actually oiled. "Blue oil" it seems, isn't oil at all. The blue colour is stain with lacquer over the top. Tonight I scrapped the dings and removed the loose lacquer, then sanded it. I then applied soft wax furniture polish. It looks good. I'll post pics tomorrow.
14. Welcome the BC Andrew. Good luck with finding a band. Cheers Rich
15. The link doesn't seem to be working.
16. Hi there, These are some pups I bought when I thought I knew what sound I was looking for, but didn't. These have been in a bass for about 2 days. There's still a good, long length of wire on them and they come complete with wiring diagram, new screws and box. The original price is £49.96 plus shipping. All yours for £35 inc postage to the UK. I'd also be happy to send to anywhere else, just ask for a postage cost. Thanks for looking Rich
17. Thanks guys. It's true I'll be sorry to see this go. But I need the space and Mrs G says "1 in 1 out".
