You are looing at a pair of V2JLH Humbucking Jazz Pickups. These pickups are very diverse. You can get a modern studio sound to old school growl. It effectively saves you having to having many basses as many sounds can be produced from these pickups. They are ultra quiet and behave like active Pups due to no hum and their high output. Ged Green (Luthier from Manchester) sold me these only a few weeks ago. They come with a Jazz Chrome cover with all the pots fitted and wired. All you will need is to solder the wires from your bass to the relevant controls. A wiring diagram is included to make this easy. The volumes are controlled by a concentric control to avoid putting an extra hole into a Jazz Bell Chrome cover. I am a teacher and am incredibly careful with my gear, which I'm sure my students would back up. So you are getting the chance to get some ex-demo pups here for a good price. I have included Ged's invoice of £147 as proof. The chrome plate and pots were not included in the price. I'm only expecting a few extra pounds for these. The sort of price i'm looking for, for every thing including postage is £100. Regards Nick
if you are splitting them, i may be interested in the bridge pup. keep me posted if you decide
I'm selling a bargain set of Seymour Duncan Basslines Pickups! The PUPs are the STK-J2b (Bridge) and STK-J2n (Neck) They were fitted by a luthier on a custom fretless. I had them fitted for a week and decided they are not quite the sound I'm after on the fretless. Because of their short time on the bass they are like new. Come supplied in original boxes. They would be better suited for a fretted bass. Due to them being stacked they are noise free too. The bridge PUP is slightly wider than the neck PUP. Due to paying £130 for these, I'm after £90 (postage included) Nick

Ta much I'll take a wee listen. The other thing I was wondering about are the types of strings Musicman fit to fretless Stingrays by default.

Hi folks, On Pino Palladino's landmark bassline on Paul Young's track Wherever I Lay My Hat does anyone know whether he used Flats on his Musicman or Roundwounds? I think his sound, and of course his playing is so damn good. Cheers Nick
That's a beauty! Looks just like my old one apart from the rosewood fingerboard. Thought it was a one piece body before I saw the edge... they're pretty good at matching grain, aren't they?
Thanks for your compliment. I'm amazed at the quality of Musicman Basses for the money. They are as good if not better than some expensive exotic makes. I wish I could keep this beauty but it's down to not really needing it. I have been far too sensible and whittled down my collection to two Jazz basses over the last couple of years. I used to have errr quite a few, oooops! I've become a disciplinarian (if there's such as word) and decided to only keep basses and gear I use regularly. Nick -
I think that finish is trans gold. There's a trans orange ray a bit further down the for sale page if you want to see the difference.
Top marks for your observation. I'm sure it's Translucent Orange. Check out the Musicman website. Thanks for your interest. Nick -
