1. Doing a little research i've seen several for sale in the region of 1000-1200EUR Hope that helps.
2. Seems like he just wanted out if the agreed deal with me once he caught wind that he could get more for it. Shame he wasn't straight forward with me, but then i guess not everyone is as honest the good ol' Basschatter folk eh? Well, now it seems we know the score. And if anybody fancies a JV for a very regular price then it is there for the taking.
3. Funny thing is, he was originally going to sell it for a lot less! He had had it given to him (well, he said he gave his friend 50 quid for it) 8 years ago. It wasn't until somebody suggested he sell it for a bit more that he upped the price to 350. So he was happy to sell it to me at that price. Smiles all round. I can't believe that somebody would go in and spoil a good deal for somebody just so they could get a JV at a pretty normal price. Balls!
4. Well. It didn't turn out so rosy after all :-( I was the first caller, we agreed on the price and I had arranged to have it picked up tomorrow. Then somebody called him, told him it was worth a lot more, offered him 300 more for it and well, the rest is history. Rather ungentlemanly, but there you go. Good luck to whoever bought it. Grrr....
5. Great sounding bass and Bram is a real pleasure to deal with. Have a bump on me :-)
6. Just gone for 335 quid. Anybody here buy it?
7. PM on it's way...
8. Here is my 1978 Scavenger. EVEN heavier than my old '78 P-Bass!
9. A great bit of kit. I've always used mine without power supply (i.e. power via firewire) and it works a dream. Good luck with the sale.
10. Yes, i decided to withdraw. It just sounds, looks and feels too damn good to sell.
11.
Is this bass pretty original?
Yes it is apart from the chrome covers which were added at a later date.
12. Withdrawn - too nice to sell. Sorry folks.
13. and that's a very tasty bass you have there too sir!
14. OK, deep breath...i really do not want to sell this bass but I cannot justify keeping it with a big purchase on the way. So, here goes... Squier JV Precision '62re-issue JV22xxx (Oct 1982 - Jan 1983) in Sunburst Pretty lightweight compared to my other basses (sorry, bathroom scales playing up, can't give exact weight) Condition: I think the photos speak for themselves. Great condition considering that this bass is 30 years old. Scratches/dings are minimal for it's age. Currently strung with flatwounds. Stamp on back of neck - 1.EX Pencil date on end of neck heel 11.7.82 In Heel socket there is a white sticker ' Fender 82 . 12' Want to hear how it sounds I played it on the Prag album 'Premiere' (currently in top 20 Amazon Germany, woohoo!). When I went to the recording session I took 2 P-Basses along. My USA Fender P-Bass and my JV Squier. The unanimous decision was to use the Squier! Follow the link to hear song snippets (pretty much all played with pick): http://www.amazon.de...g/dp/B009TPYJOK Price - 850GBP Sorry, no trades this time. Feel free to ask questions.
