hi everyone. it been a while since i've been back here. anyway, i have picked up a used schecter stiletto deluxe as a back up. i gave it a basic set up and cant shake this muddy tone. its very undefined, and mushy. not at all like the reviews ive read or the demos i have heard. has anyone else had this issue? any ideas? is it the preamp? pickups? otherwise its a great bass. good feel and natural tone. thanks

Heeey. I've got a honey violin Streamer LX 4. its a great bass, pretty heavy, sounds great. it took me a while to get used to its dimensions, being all carved and curvy. mines been bashed about as well, and i got it for about 450. i gave it some TLC and now its a great player. enjoy!

Hey all, im wondering if anyone here can give me first hand NAMM, or Musicmesse info. I have got the opportunity to go and talk about my book ideas, teaching concepts, and maybe get some deals made for when i open my teaching studio/recording studio. how do you approach the trade show thing? do you have a plan of who you want to talk to before hand? Do I need to have a really good concept? Will people be open to listening to me if i'm not yet known in the industry? Who might be some manufacturers who would be especially into chatting about music education and the bass? I really want to make sure i get buisness done there and not waste my time or look stupid. thank you all in advance cheers rory
