  1. Some do, it just depends on the spec when it was ordered
  2. Iv been thinking about an abz or d-roc and going between both for a while. In the end I couldn’t justify the amount I’d have to spend to get an abz with the spec I’d want. im now on the hunt for a Hellboy d-roc as I love that paint job and the added bonus of an onboard distortion.
  3. Hopefully they will do in future
  4. Just wanted to see if anyone tried an Abasi bass on here
  5. I went for a Shure GLXD+ and no regrets. Bit expensive but it does double as a tuner on the board so saves money there. No issues so far and great piece of kit
  6. Good point! Would still like some variation on options
  7. Surely you save money on that!
  8. A couple of videos of it being uploaded now! Looks cool, my only concern is paying over £3k for something that has no options apart from colour.
  9. I agree, my overload has the same and I don’t really notice the lack of headstock when playing.
  10. Yeah it’s a bit steep on price. Definitely want to see some reviews before considering one. Also a bit pricey when there are limited options for finishes with no options to change electronics.
  11. Yeah and a few other manufacturers that seem to be up and coming. Overload is one that comes to mind https://www.overloadguitars.com
  12. Iv just heard Abasi guitars are releasing a bass model. As a massive fan of Tosin Abasi, Animals as Leaders and how the Abasi guitars look I’m really excited by this. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7CuKqZOKsr/?igsh=MW5uenVnM3hvOXlmdQ==
  13. Ahh cool, that’s a great help. Really appreciate it, I’m always trying to improve
  14. Thanks, that’s really helpful. Could you elaborate more on what you mean by moving my fingers too much on my right hand? Also in terms of my thumb, do you mean anchoring it instead of swapping strings?
  15. Hi All, Iv done another playthrough in a similar style. trying to improve my videoing/playing techniques, so any suggestions would be great. Thanks
  16. Thanks mate, really appreciate that. I recorded this in logic and then filmed me playing along
  17. Hi All, I don’t know if this has been covered before but I’m starting to try and publish play through and covers, mainly to get me playing more and to improve my technique and recording skills. I find them useful to watch back and look at how I can get better. I wanted to ask about good practice for doing videos, so best software, techniques (do you record and play at the same time) or record first in a DAW and the film yourself playing after. Iv recently published my first one (link below), so would love to hear about ways to improve the videos. Thanks
  18. Thanks. I ended up going for the Shure in the end as I wanted the tuner bass but agree, I would have definitely tried it to see if the line 6 how it worked and confirm for myself
  19. Just looking at buying my first wireless system and the Shure Glxd16 seems to be the best option and worth the price. Does anyone has had any experience with the new NUX B8 system. It seems to have some good features at a lower price than the shure, like the tuner receiver. https://www.nuxaudio.com/b8.html
  20. I found this site saying that a few from boss and line 6 had issues with active pickups. https://www.guitarworld.com/features/best-guitar-wireless-systems#section-best-for-pedalboards
  21. Thanks, I’ll take a look at this
  22. Hi All, im looking at a wireless system to use live and practise going forward and wondered what you all recommend. The Shure GLXD16 seems to be the gold standard and a great package but expensive. The line 6 systems seem good for the price but Iv been told to steer clear of them if you have an active bass. Iv seen this new system by NUX that has a tuner and charging station as part of the package which seems cool but very few reviews yet. https://www.nuxaudio.com/b8.html If anyone has any recommendations or advice please let me know Thanks Rick
  23. Answered below but let me know if you have any questions. Happy to try recording ring a video if you want
  24. In a nutshell yes, you can drop your current tuning down up to an octave. For instance I use it to play some stuff in drop F# but the bass is tuned to drop A. So I drop it 3 semi tones. I would say the quality of the sound decreases the lower you go and there are slight tonal changes but nothing major. If I was recording or playing regularly in a lower tuning I’d have a bass set up in that tuning. For practise and on the fly tuning it’s great though. I bought it to play at home to covers in low tunings, without the hassle of changing the bass itself. It’s stayed on the board mainly because additional octave function sounds great, tracks really well so I replaced my Aguilar octamiser with it. Really recommend giving it a go.
  25. I got mine through guitar guitar just after Christmas. Might be worth checking if they have any. Highly worth it!
