  1. Got my mini board set up now. I’m so impressed with the Digitech drop pedal, a great down tuner and surprisingly great octave pedal too!
  2. Awesome l! What tunings have you been using it for?
  3. Hi, Iv been wanting to play a few more covers recently with low drop tunings for bands such as Spiritbox, Architects etc (the lowest being F#), but wanting to avoid the hassle of changing my bass tunings every time. Would anyone be able to advise on drop tuning pedals that would be the best to use for a 5 string and lower tunings? Thanks in advance.
  4. I think after distortion my favourite pedals are reverb, to give a little extra on lead lines and intros
  5. Thanks, what settings do you run now?
  6. I think Iv finally got my live rig sorted (top pedal board) now, really happy with the range of sounds I can get from this. Got the smaller board and wah to interchange occasionally which gets some funkier sounds in the mix too!
  7. Amazing! Thank you so much
  8. Thank you! Is there an online link?
  9. Thanks, great advice on the unity gain, I’m always intending to have it on buy agree need to set that up. iv started with the recommended ones and having a tweak to see what’s the best for heavy rock/metal styles
  10. Thanks that’s great reading. I’m also looking for advice on this particular Cali 76 pedal too if anyone has any recommended settings
  11. So Iv finally gone for it and bought my Cali compressor. The voltage doubler seems to be doing the job, which is good and I can run it at 18v. Playing around with the settings at the moment but does anyone have recommended settings? I’m playing mostly heavy rock on a 5 string with standard tuning.
  12. Sounds perfect. I think I’m going to stick to one stop for now as I’m not sure getting a double stop for semi tone changes would work well
  13. Thanks for the comments. Just to clarify I’m dropping the low b string to A# and then A for different songs. Iv got a Dingwall combustion and it handles the low tuning beautifully. I recorded the songs in the studio manually tuning down and it was fine. I’m now looking to streamline tuning down from B to A live. I think for the moment I’ll just buy the xtender and then just play the song in drop A# in A for now. Then if it gets annoying buy the double drop lever.
  14. Thank you so much, that clears it up a lot!
  15. That’s awesome thank you so much. so I need the Hipshot xtender for one drop and then the additional component todos second drop?
  16. Hi, Apologies if this has been covered before but wanted to ask about bass xtenders and have a newbie question as Iv never had experience with them. Recently my band have started writing with the low A and A# and wondered if a single bass xtender can drop down twice, at half a step down each time? Or can they only drop once? Thanks Rick
  17. Just to follow up on this, I contacted Origin about using a voltage doubler and the voodoo lab and they said that would work great. Thanks so much for this recommendation, think this is the option I’ll go for
  18. Thanks that’s great to know. I just feel want to get the most out of the pedal
  19. Thanks, I measured it when I was in the studio last week and it does fit. My wah also doesn’t go everywhere anymore because of the weight so there will be a lot more real estate there sadly the voodoo power lab doesn’t fit under the board, one reason I might upgrade to a one spot.
  20. Awesome, thanks that’s a great option!
  21. Thanks, probably will look at moving on the mxr, it’s all in perfect working order and I think I have the box and instructions. DM me if you want. How do you like the Cali?
  22. Done a bit more reading on this and origin recommend a few power supplies. I think one good solution might be to use a standalone plug for this one pedal (Dunlop ECB-004) and keep using the voodoo lab for all the other pedals. When I’m ready I can upgrade the power supply or use the 9V input for the cali76 if im in a pinch
  23. I do so that could be a good stop gap option. I’d ideally like to get the full 18v out eventually
  24. Ahh great advice. Sadly not, but maybe I could remove one pedal
  25. Hi, Iv been looking to upgrade my mxr compressor and been recommended to go for the Origin Cali 76 pedal and having heard it I’m definitely sold on just how good it is. Before I buy one one thing I wanted to ask is about the power supply, which in the manual says is best with 18V. Annoyingly my current voodoo lab power supply (attached) doesn’t have an 18V output, but don’t really want to overhaul the power supply for one pedal. I’m happy to just buy a separate standalone plug for it but wanted to ask if anyone knows what would be best to buy? Thanks Rick
