Epiphone Jack Casady in sparkling Burgundy, I bought the Bass from peach guitars in September and it is in excellent condition. It has been used mainly at home and only gigged once. Normally I wouldn’t even think about selling this bass however I have a relatively serious shoulder upper arm injury which because of the size of the body is making it uncomfortable to play. I’ve tried an extra long strap and other things but unfortunately the problem continues so regrettably I’m putting it up for sale. The bass was set up by the guys at Peach guitars as part of the sale and is currently strung with Rotosound flats. Comes with a TGI acoustic bass gig bag/ case Bass is in Wigan and I can post or you can collect for free. Any questions let me know and I’ll do my best to answer them, Thanks Steve

Good afternoon gents I'm after a bit of info from you Yamaha aficionados , I'm looking for a new back up for my Maruszczyk Jake, currently i have a Squier Affinity precision which although it is perfectly decent I tend not to use it and gig exclusively with the Jake. So, I'm thinking about selling it and buying something that i would be tempted to gig a little bit more with. The two options I'm considering are the Yamaha BB434 or the fender Player precision which is probably the safe option as i had one before and know what it does. However, Im intrigued by the Yamaha and I know many of you on the site speak highly of the quality of basses they produce. Was just wondering if any of you currently play the 434 and could give me a steer on how they differ from the good old P Bass. I fully intend having a ride to try one out for myself but thought I'd take advantage of the knowledgeable members of basschat first. For context i play in a covers band that plays a fairly eclectic mix of indie, pop, rock and a bit of motown. Any advice or recommendations will be gratefully received Thanks Steve

Hi gents just looking for a bit of advice, I've got a squier affinity PJ bass that i essentially have as a back up don't play it much and i want to do some minor upgrades to make it more playable, firstly i'd like to fit new tuners as the ones on it are basic to say the least , preferably lightweight ones but if I'm honest I know little about the best options , would appreciate a bit of advice on the best options out there from you knowledgeable people. Thanks Steve

First live gig I ever saw Liverpool stadium in 1975 saw him many times after that the last being in a small tent at Glastonbury in 2017, Cockney Rebel were the soundtrack of my teenage years. Great performer and excellent musician as George pointed out above while he is best known for make me smile there are so many more great tunes in his back catalogue. RIP Steve and thanks for the memories

At 64 I'm by far the oldest in our covers band with the singer being early 30's and the guitarist and drummer in their early 20's. I've known Mike the singer for a long time through playing cricket and when he wanted to expand his acoustic duo to a full band some years ago he asked mew to help out which I agreed too until they found a regular bass player. 10 years later and I'm still here, original guitarist and drummer left maybe 4 years ago to start an originals band, found replacements and got on with it. Probably busier than we've ever been averaging around 60-70 gigs a year definitely helps me keep young and I'm still enjoying it. We do a nice mix of functions and pub gigs which is good. Although i must admit i wish I had a quid for every time I've been asked whose dad I am. Thing is as long as you're still enjoying gigging them age is no barrier just get out there and enjoy yourself is my motto.

Last gig of what has been another extremely busy year for us a wedding in Garstang up in Lancs. Nice change as for the last 5 years covid permitting we have played a dinner dance at a hotel in Ashton Under Lyne which year by year has had less people attending, so was really looking forward to tonight. However, like many others it seems I've been afflicted by a sore throat and chest infection for most of December so just going to dose myself up and struggle through. Good luck to everyone who is gigging tonight hope you all have a good one and happy new year to you all.

Squier Classic Vibe 1960's precision in Sunburst. Bass is in excellent condition with no visible marks. Has just been professionally set up and had new GHS precision flats fitted. Bought 2nd hand with the intention of using it as a back up but i already have one and three basses is excessive for me as even though i gig most weekends this probably won't get used enough to justify. Plus i want to get one of the new Ashdown Pro DI pedals so this would cover it. I'm based in Wigan and happy to post for £20, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask , as always my photography skills are very basic and i'm happy to provide extras if needed. Cheers Steve

funnily enough i picked up an identical bass for 185 quid at Cash Generator in Wigan its in pristine condition, going off to get a pro set up and new strings then it'll become back up to my Maruscyck for gigs and will definitely get a few outings

We’ve been using in ears exclusively for the last 3 years and I’ve used one of these instead of an amp probably done over 200 gigs without any issues whatsoever. There are undoubtedly better and much more expensive Options out there but for the price these are reliable and great value. My intention was originally to use it as a short term solution in case I couldn’t get use to in ears , but honestly never seen a reason to upgrade cheers Steve

This is a reluctant sale as I wanted one of these for some time, however despite it looking and sounding great I'm just struggling with the body size. As a result it's not getting gigged so I really need to move it on, The bass is around six months old and has only been gigged a few times having mainly been used in the house. It is in excellent condition. The bass is Currently strung with GHS precision flats and comes with an epiphone gig bag. I can post if necessary or local pick up is available I'm based in Wigan up in the north West. I'm not the best photographer as you can tell however if you need any more photos please give me a call

Same gig as we have done the three years before last year , dinner dance at a hotel in Ashton Under Lyne, only downside is we have to be there from 3.30pm to set up then don’t play till 9.45 , strict 2 45 minute sets and off at 11.45 pm when the DJ takes over , we then have to hang around till around 1.30 to pack up. Good payer which sort of compensates for it and suppose we should be grateful to be gigging with everything that’s going on. Event was sold out a while ago but will be interesting to see how many people either decide against attending or are isolating

We’ve gigged almost non stop since everything reopened including two a weekend since mid November and the inevitable has happened. Friday nights gig was possibly the worst ever mad Friday in a popular pub just outside Wigan full of absolute idiots; if I could have packed up and gone home I would’ve, anyway the upshot is 3 out of the 4 of us tested positive on Sunday, we are pretty sure it was Friday as there are quite a few people we know who were there who have tested positive before us. Guess with itch the amount of gigs we’ve been doing it was always going to happen at some point we’ve had to cancel Christmas Eve and we have bookings for the 30th and New Year’s Eve however I’d be amazed if they go ahead even though we should be out of isolation by then

Line 6 G75 amp top wireless unit for sale as Ive been gigging amp less with IEMs since we started back in summer. As a result I’m looking to buy a floor pedal unit. Got this when they were on offer and although i haven’t used it that often when I have it has never missed a beat and has a great range. Also has the cable function that supposedly replicates cable usage. Price includes postage however if you want to collect price will be £130 Any questions feel free to ask k cheers steve

I bought a line6 G75 when they were on offer, it’s the amp top version and is a rest piece of kit, I don’t tend to use it that much but every time I have it’s been excellent and I’d recommend it, previously had a G30 which was also a great piece of kit Since starting back I’ve gone amp less with in ears so I will probably look to change to a pedal version of the same model

I Have just ordered a Burgundy Casady and need a gig bag apologies if it is on the post somewhere but is this the WG 20 model ?? I prefer gig bags to cases if possible and this looks ideal
