8.
Do you have an accurate weight?
I can get you an accurate one later but definitely under 8lbs lightest P bass I've ever had and I've had a few
 9.
Willing to ship within the EU?
Would prefer UK at the moment Thanks Steve
 10. I'm undecided about this however here goes 4 string custom build Maruszczyk jake finished in black gloss with rosewood board blocked and bound pearl inlays , matching headstock Body is alder pick up is haussel split coil , controls are volume tone , neck is 40mm at the nut lovely feel , currently strung with flats does the precision thing really well Lots has been written about the quality of these basses and it's all true in terms of value for money. Main reason for sale is I have the same bass in white/maple but with a humbucker at the bridge and this is the bass I go back to all the time so as nice as this is it isn't getting the use it should . Bass will come with a Maruszczyk gig bag and is priced at £675 firm which will include U.K. Postage Only trade I would consider is a precision either fender precision / Lakland BG in black / maple Would also consider trade for a Markbass Jeff Berlin with some cash my way if anyone is interested Not really bothered if this doesn't sell to be honest Ant questions please fell free to ask Cheers Steve
 11. very nice and just up the road from me mmm

 13.
I`ve got the ABM600 with ABM210/410 cabs, and the RM500 with RM210/115 cabs. Impressions are that the ABM is a bigger sound, and has more presence in the lows when all set flat, but other than that I find them very similar, though have to admit I get my eq from my Sansamp. The only adjustment I make on the amps is on the ABM I back off on the lows to about 10 o`clock, whereas on the RM I leave all at noon. So to answer Peetys question - sortof - not that much difference between the two, though I`m guessing at higher volumes the ABM will fare better.
Thanks Lozz that's sort of what i guessed i'm in Manchester later so will go and try one out at PMT if it gets anywhere near the ABM then i think i'll probably get one
 14. Has anyone had any experience of one of the RM500 115 combos, currently using a Fender rumble which i really like as its very portable and suits pub gigs i do at the moment However always generally had Ashdown ABM amps and i swapped an ABM500 210 for the fender purely for ease of portability, This attracts me because of the weight and the fact i've always preferred 15's to 10's. Guess what i'm asking is how these compare soundwise to the ABM'S, would prefer to stick to a combo as i like the ease of the plug and play Cheers Steve
 15. Used to be Dakota but recently changed to Pacifier by Catfish and the Bottlemen seems to go down quite well
 16.
Was it The New Inn?
Hulton Arms there's another big Pub across the way on the same crossroads at 4 lane ends there not sure what its called but that looked shut or was being refurbished. Have no idea why this place has bands on two of the lads in our band used to play in a duo and have played there three times and it was the same then
 17. Had a similar experience earlier this year at a big pub in Little Hulton inbetween sort of Bolton and Manchester audience clientele maxed out at 8 which included a guy who never left the smoking shelter all night just had someone regularly delivering pints to him out there and 3 people round the far side of the bar watching TV meaning the actual audience ranged from zero to 4 despite it being a really rubbish experience for bands how can such pubs justify paying out for a band when they can't even be taking enough to cover the bands fee even before the cost of the beer. Have spoken to a couple of other people who have played there and had a similar experience safe to say will not be going back no matter what the payment is despite already having had an agent try to book us in there again.
 18.
That white one is a beauty...
You're not wrong there Michael have used it exclusively for gigging since i got it from you , the new one is a take on a Lakland Duck Dunn i had just a P bass in black but with slightly slimmer neck plus blocked and bound rosewood board which i have to say is stunning. I will really find it difficult to justify buying basses from anywhere else such is the quality for the price
 19. I was quoted 12 weeks but got mine in 9 it arrived yesterday and i have say it's stunning the neck is even better than my other Jake my first custom build previously bought one off the website and my other from Wateroftyne and to be fair all three have been excellent was only collected Monday by Fedex 2 days from Germany impressive Will post some pictures of the 2 together when i get home later
 20. Sofa shot straight up jake with Haussel pick ups
 21. Just got e mail with sofa shot at work so will post later safe to say it's exceeded expectations money transferred so the delivery wait begins
 22.
Make it clear to future bookers what they are getting. We make it pretty clear that for what they are typically paying us they will get 2x45 min sets maybe a few mins more for pub gigs. We sometimes extend to 2x60min if it is a well paying agency gig at a wmc etc but this is rare. It is up to the venue to decide when they want us to finish and if they want to fill the down time with other acts or background music.
I'm used to that scenario with functions where everything is pre arranged and nailed down, this band is a young band and quite a new venture so they are doing as many gigs as possible to get a reputation which will make it easier later on and in terms of next year is already paying off and i think they are accepting gigs so that further down the line they can be nore selective , i originally said i would help out as they had no bass player that was in january and i'm still here as such i really try not to get involved with any of the organisation. To be fair most gigs we have done have been 45 minute first set followed by 1 hour this was slightly different being a town centre bar however you are quite right any future gigs there will have to be set in stone before we commit certainly from my point of view. i guess the thing is it's a learning curve for them at the moment so all advice is greatly appreciated so i can pass it on. Cheers Steve
