Loads of big pics on Dropbox When fitted to a Fender bass This is an unlined fretless graphite neck to fit a Fender Jazz Bass of pretty much any description. Brings out the growl and harmonics, takes away the harsh edges. Mwaahs like a mwaahy thing. It's used, I'd say in very good to excellent condition but please check the linked pics and judge for yourself. If anything, the marks are exaggerated. There's evidence of roundwound strings, but the board still feels silky smooth. For a few years I've had it attached to a Fender American Standard Jazz Bass. The fitting was done by a pro luthier so the holes are all there already. Recommend you go with the same Fender US Standard tuners and string tree, as carbon fibre is apparently quite tough to drill. I've gone back to a wood neck on the Jazz and had planned to do something with this, but alas I'm proper skint so it has to go. Not looking for trades -- by all means offer stuff anyway but please don't be offended if I turn them down. Rob at Status charges £360 for these and they take a couple of months to arrive. Worth the wait I reckon, but here's one you can have [s]yesterday [/s]soon. Last neck I posted was about £12 so I'd imagine this will be similar. It's in Hove if you want to come and have a look.

More, bigger pics on Dropbox Here's a Leo Quan Badass II bass bridge. As you're no doubt aware these are:

Drop-in replacements for five-hole Fender bass bridges (ie vintage, Mexican, Japanese, not recent US models which have a three-hole bridge)
High-mass zinc alloy, chrome plated, allegedly giving greater definition and sustain. Personally, I'm a believer.
Overpriced and really hard to get hold of these days.
This is the rarer grooved version so you don't have to file a hole in your saddles, just unscrew the original five-hole BBOT, then use the same screws to fit this one. Had to get this from the US, and even there they're mostly priced at $90 and usually out of stock. This was fitted to a bass that spent most of its life inside a case, so it's still nice and shiny and won't let the side down appearance-wise. No sense keeping it when I've nothing to fit it on to. Comes with five (unused) screws and hex key for adjustments. Price is £75 delivered, I'm unlikely to trade but hit me up with pedals and ting if you like.
I played an acoustic version of Ace of Spades on a radio session earlier this week. Not sure if it was a tribute or sacrilege tbh....
Wot, like this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjkzbCkZEuQ

Traded one Jazz for another with Rob -- friendly, reliable bloke who obviously looks after his kit.

Withdrawn -- decided to get a wood neck for it -- may put the graphite up for sale after that. [s]More pics: https://www.dropbox....YN-Qhx0noOcO_qa I'm still looking for the one Fender Jazz to rule them all. This was it for a while, but I've got too many fretlesses and am tripping over them all. So this 2010 Fender American Standard Jazz Bass originally came with a horrid neck that wouldn't stay put. So I've had it replaced with a Status graphite fretless neck (sorry, the original horrid neck went on eBay for a pittance years ago). The work was done by Brighton luthier Bernie Goodfellow and I also got him to stick a Hipshot D-tuner on the E string. Prior to that I had EMG JV pickups fitted -- they're active pickups (battery under the bell plate) which are meant to retain the vintage sound while sorting out the hum and harsh edges. I like them lots. Sorry, the original pickups went on eBay too. You may be familiar with the Status replacement necks, but if not here's a link: http://www.status-gr...index_home.html For me, the graphite neck keeps all the growl and harmonics but removes some of the unwanted clank. The action will go ridiculously low if you wish. There's a double truss rod in there, accessed from the top. It's possibly overdue a tweakette by now. I've replaced the original tortoiseshell guard with a white one (from a Fender Standard instrument) because shell looked wrong. It's a player not a collector's item, but there's some serious hardware there. Somebody famous ought to buy it. Comes with the original Fender hard case. Located in Hove if you want a look. Postage costs to be discussed if you're interested. Ask things. Sorry, but to protect myself from expense, hassle and paranoia, I'm not willing to ship outside the UK. Thanks for understanding.[/s]

Loads of high-res pics: https://www.dropbox....3tWtXp_CWBwKnZa Here's a 2009 Fender Road Worn Jazz Bass in Fiesta Red at a bargain bin price (though see below***). No mods, no crackles, strung nice and low, and the relic nitro finish is well classy innit. Neck pocket is tight as a gnat's chuff and it has been set up with Ernie Ball 40-95s by Mr Goodfellow of this parish. I used this as my main gigging bass during a spell of chronic fatigue, stupidly easy to play and no worries about damaging the finish. After three or four years I'm on the mend and back on a 5-string fretless. *** It's a slight second -- the sharp-eyed among you may have already spotted that the body has 1970s pickup spacing, with the bridge pickup positioned a few millimetres closer to the bridge than on 1960s models. This is reflected in the price, which is at least £100 less than average second-hand value. I've opened it up -- please check the markings in the high res pics -- and have no doubt that it's the real thing. I can only assume that someone at Ensenada picked up the wrong body for the relic treatment and didn't notice. Who knows, it might even become a valuable one-off ;-) That aside, this has everything you want from a Jazz Bass. The build quality is excellent, it plays lovelyly and sounds nice too. The bass is in Hove -- inspection welcome. I'll post at extra cost (to be discussed with the buyer). You can have it in a cheapo gig-bag or, if I can prise it out of the loft, the stinky horrid tweed-covered hard case it came to me in. Do ask questions or chime in if you like, especially if you can shed any further light on this one's, erm, uniqueness. Sorry, but to protect myself from expense, hassle and paranoia, I'm not willing to ship outside the UK. Thanks for understanding.
haha sorry i just checked and hove is right next to brighton (im in belgium but i have friends living in brighton) so ignore that question
No worries At the moment its set very low, probably needs a winter tweak to keep things rattle-free. It's strung with 40-95s so you would probably want to set things up to your liking. These just came in a box but I'm including a padded Fender gig bag in the price. Hope it helps.

Christmas isn't just about other people. There's more to life than treating your loved ones to yet more needless tat. This holiday season, why not surprise and delight the bass player in your life -- you. It turns out I've accumulated way too many Fender Jazz Basses, so in the festive spirit of goodwill to all people I'm selling some. Fender Classic 1960s Jazz Bass (Mexico), OW £450 plus postage More pics: https://www.dropbox....O1WJDj7IPa?dl=0 This is a very shiny and well constructed 1960s-look bass with the usual period features. Beautiful Olympic White with a dark rosewood board and tort guard. Built 2011 I believe, the only non-original parts are the pickups, which again are EMG JVs (gotta love the vintage growly noise they make). It has a ridiculously smooth low action after a proper fret-stoning. The only blemish is on the rear, where the neck screws have gone in a bit too far, leaving the backplate a little bent and the surrounding finish cracked. You can see this in the pics. Otherwise this is a shiny, fast Jazz at what I believe to be a bargainacious price. [s]Fender Japan JB66B FSR 2013 ('1966 reissue') in Vintage White[/s] Sold [s]More pics: http://s326.photobuc...e101/slideshow/ Well tasty block-and-bound neck and colour-matched headstock. Sounds delicious with a nice woody tone. Slightly deeper neck for all you vintage profile freaks. Immaculate and 100% original (apart from the strings). Cost a grand new and no longer made. More details here[/s] [s]Fender Antigua FSR 2012 Jazz Bass (1970s reissue)[/s] Sold [s][/s] More pics: https://www.dropbox....qKA8WNfyKa?dl=0 [s]Just to prove wrong those who reckon nothing good comes out of Fender Mexico, this is a shockingly well made and finished bass guitar. It's one of a special short run in love-or-loathe late 1970s 'Antigua' finish (smokeburst to lovers, snotburst to the other lot). Has the 1970s bridge pickup positioning, logo and 'bullet' truss rod tip. This has upgraded pups (EMG JV series, very hard to obtain these days, designed to give modern noiseless performance and reduce the harsh edges while retaining plenty of traditional Jazz Bass growl). The original pickups are still available if you want to put them back, but you don't, do you? I'll buy back the EMGs if you do. There's barely a mark on it -- you can see a light groove where a high-mass bridge was formerly fitted, otherwise a few finger marks is it.[/s] General stuff All basses are in Hove and collection is welcome. Apologies to overseas members but I'll only post within the UK. I'm looking for cash rather than trades, though of course your offers of Foderas etc are welcome. Never say never, anyway. I'm unlikely to drop the price at any point, as I'm selling to pay off another purchase and don't particularly want to offload, even if I do have an alarming number of cheap(er) Jazz Basses. Ask me stuff, anyway.
