OK, I have loads of pickguards that I have amassed over the years. I don't need them and don't particularly want to leave them in my will. So I'm selling them for £5 each (except where stated) plus postage. You should assume they won't fit your individual instrument. You should assume they are not genuine Fender. You should assume they have been used. You should assume they are made of cheese. That way, if by some magic it fits, is made of plastic and still has the protective film on, you're quids in. OK, I exaggerate, but honestly if it's important to you that they fit just so, probably don't buy. If I have to manage returns my head will explode, so on this rare occasion I'm not offering them. Here is the sum total of what I know about each one. If purchasing, please state which number you require. Jazz Bass, 3-ply parchment, no truss notch or ashtray holes, 11-hole (including one in the middle). Probably off eBay. Jazz Bass, 3-ply mint green, small truss notch, 11-hole (inc. centre) plus holes for pickup cover and low-mounted tug bar. WD Custom Pickguards sticker on back, so priced at £10. SOLD Jazz Bass, 3-ply aged white, no truss notch, 9-hole (inc centre) plus holes for high-mounted tug bar and pickup cover. Film attached. From a Dutch person off eBay, probably fits something really well, not anything of mine though. Jazz Bass, 3-ply cream, no truss notch, 10-hole. Used briefly on my old Mexican Antigua Jazz so it must fit them. Jazz Bass, 3-ply mint green, 10-hole, full-size truss notch. I've a feeling it may have come from (someone else's) US Am Pro Jazz, thus priced at £15. Jazz Bass, 3-ply cream, 10-hole, no truss notch. Some hackery around the pickup hole (see pic below), which presumably made it fit my old 2008 Am Std Jazz, on which some kiddy in a guitar shop fitted the pickups off-beam. Jazz Bass, 1-ply white, 10-hole, no truss notch, fits Mexican JBs. Stratocaster SSS, 3-ply mint green, foil shielding and protective film attached, 11-hole fitting. Would have fitted my Mexican Strat had I not had a Floyd fitted. £10. Precision Bass, 3-ply black, no truss notch, came off a Squier VM 70s Precision. Some hackery around the pot holes, to make the replacements fit (not visible once knobs are on) -- see pic below. Some foil on underside. Not the most fabulously executed thing, but it does fit the bass it came off. SOLD Jazz Bass, 3-ply mint, no truss notch, 10-hole (incl centre) plus holes for high-mounted tug bar and pickup cover. Protective film attached. Sister of number 3 from the same supplier. Hackery close-ups Above: Hackery around pickup hole of number 6. Above: hackery around pot holes of number 10.

I've gone all Marie Kondo and have loads of bits for sale, mainly for Fender and Warwick basses. Postage costs will depend on how many of which bits, or you can pick up from Hove if you're in the area. Nothing more fiddly than sending out loads of low-value bits, so feel free to make me an offer for combinations. Squier 1970s-style bass bridge: £15 Stacked knobs for 1960s-style Jazz Bass, unused: £15 Fender Road Worn strap buttons: £5 Squier bass neck plate: £10 Black J-bass bell plate £5 Warwick-type domed knobs (chrome) x 4: £2.50 each or £8 the lot J-bass & strat knob sets: £5 each White plastic tug bar: £2.50 Blank Fender-type neckplate + screws: £5 BadAss saddles set, chrome, uncut: £30 Gone Squier P-bass pickup: £15 Gone Fender Road Worn Jazz Bass loaded control plate: £40 Gone Fender Road Worn 1960s-style bass bridge: £35 Gone Fender Flea RW Jazz Bass neck plate: £15 Gone Warwick stacked pot knobs, chrome, unused: £3.50 each Gone Mystery pair of silver flat-top knurled pot knobs: £5 Gone Details and pics herewith .... 1. Squier bass bridge £15 4-string BBOT bridge taken from a VM 70s P-bass. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Stacked knobs for early 60s style Jazz Bass £15 No-name knobs, unused and sealed with washers. Came as part of a Kiogon loom package. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Fender Road Worn strap buttons: £5 Taken from a RW Flea bass I no longer own. Squier bass neck plate £10 Complete with screws, taken from a VM 1970s P-bass. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. No-name black bell plate for J-bass £5 It looks used, so I must have. No screws, soz. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Four dome-topped knurled silver-coloured knobs, £2.50 each or £8 the lot Warwick-type. Shiny with marker dots on top. For fluted-shaft pots (ie no grub screws). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Various no-name plastic knobs, £5 a set 8. White no-name plastic bass tugbar (no screws, soz) £2.50 Black and white Jazz Bass knobs and white Strat knobs for fluted pots (ie no grub screws on any of these). Also a white plastic thumbrest for P or J bass, for which I have unfortunately lost the screws. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9. Fender-type neckplate + screws, no logo or numbers or nowt £5 Absolutely no idea where this came from. It's probably rare and valuable but may actually not be. Anyway, it holds the neck of a P or J bass to the body (in concert with the included screws), and should fit Fenders (no other reason I'd have it). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Need it all gone from my life so I'm open to offers. Trade-wise I'm only really looking for a 7-string Fodera or a boat (with cash my way). Please be patient with me. I'm selling all Mrs Nige's old kit on Vinted as well, so I have a zillion low-value transactions to juggle for the next month or so. Not sure when this became my job. Thanks for looking y'all. 🙂

Jonny bought a MM Stingray from me and was easy to deal with throughout. Even came down from London to pick up. Nice one and enjoy the 'ray.

Don't know, but I assume the neck pocket will be different at least.

Here's a thing you don't see every day. I know nobody's got any money right now, but some things are worth throwing away a credit rating for, shirley? This is an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous StingRay Classic from 2010, in a divine Sonic-alike blue that was only available for one model year. It is immaculate -- but for a small chip in the headstock varnish, which can be seen under the big letter R in the logo, I'd be calling it as-new. If you aren't familiar with the Stingray Classic, it's a 'reimagining' in the original 1970s style and features the following vintage stylings: Slab body 7.5in radiused board Simple non-compensated nut Larger vintage bridge with foam mutes Through-body stringing Metal battery cover 2-band EQ and “classic” headstock logo. The guitar has a striking Birdseye maple neck with gloss finish. It’s set up nice and low with Ernie Ball Extra Slinkies (.040 - .095) and plays beautifully. Included are the original hard-shell case and tortoiseshell scratchplate (which still has the plastic film attached). For some reason this never gets played much. I'm mostly playing extended-range basses and I'd be afeared to gig this anyway. So it gets looked at every now and then, and I run a few scales up and down the neck, for old time's sake. I love it to death, but it deserves to be more than just a beautiful ornament. And anyway, I've other (non-bass) things to fund. Our kitchen scales reckon this weighs 4.49kig, or 9.89lb. It's neither the lightest nor the heaviest bass guitar I've ever used. Width at nut is a Precision-like 41.3mm. Feel free to make me an offer, but please note that I won't be letting it go for silly prices. If you can even find a second-hand Classic these days, the price tag tends to be nearer £2k. Apologies to non-UK peeple but I won't be posting this overseas. And I'm definitely not up for trades, again sorry. Price doesn't include shipping, which is likely to be pricey. But of course, it's free to collect and I may be able to arrange drop-off within a reasonable distance. Now advertised elsewheres, but a bit cheaper here dontcha know ... Nuff sales talk, here's the pr0n: (See that chip under the 'R'? That's the only mark I can find)
