Sorry! I didn't listen to it on here and went straight to youtube (it's a Kindle thing). The closing moments of the proper video show PC playing the line and, as stated above, he plays the line on the D and G strings although specifics are difficlut to see. I think it is important to find your own solutions to these playing problems, however, and whatever works, works.

That major chord at the end soooo sucks...

Seems easy enough. It is just rising three note scale fragment superimposed on a 4 beat pulse. Can't give you detail as I am not in a position to give it the time. Will try later if I can and no-one gets there sooner.

It's one those magic ingredients that distinguishes a great player from a good one. Your own definition is as good as any I have seen. It's the art over the exercise, the intention over the words, the emotion in content as opposed to the content alone. It's the difference between you and me.

It's brilliant. Great material for reading practice. It is very accurate but the parts are not complete so you will often get an intro, verse and chorus and then a fade or even just a riff here and there but, overall, a really useful resource and it gives you massive insight into JJ's style. Highly recommended (and I 'kin hate Motown )

I just got a copy of Miroslav Philharmonik - I hope I can make it fit what I have been owrking on by 21st but, if not, I'm pulling out of this month's competition and re-grouping for the next one! How exciting!!

I don't think I have ever gone on a pilgrimage to see anything, I have only seen stuff by being there anyway. Kind of 'oooh look! York Minster Cathedral' when I was in York for a conference. Would I travel anywhere to see something like Paul Chambers' bass? Well, I haven't to date so I guess not. Cult of Personality stuff has always made me uncomfortable ( I know why.
