1. I'm sure there is someone looking for a road-worn P on this here board?
2.
Hmm I guess we'll never know.
Sorry boss, wasn''t ignoring you but was sellng and packing the pedal. TBH I have no idea what's wrong with the MXR. Outside and inside look fine to me. But then, I have a social sciences degree.
3. MXR Bass Octave SOLD PENDING USUAL.
4. Danelectro Wasabi Distortion - £40 posted EHX Freeze - SOLD PENDING USUAL [s]MXR Bass Octave - £20 posted - no guarantees of it working but cosmetically its great.[/s]
5.
Surely that can't be 15mm at the bridge?
True dat. I have checked with others who reckon its 16 or 16.5, but I reckon its 15.
6. DOD flanger SOLD, BBE Crusher still available with some interest shown ;-)
7. Info on Hamer Cruise 5 in response to requests: Weight: 9.8lbs String spacing at bridge: 15mm Pick-ups: stock (I think) Basslines
8. Every bass OHM has put up for sale on BC over the last year (there have been a few) I have wanted to buy and this one is no exception. Are you sure sure sure you don't NEED a Hamer Cruise 5 or a Godin Freeway 5? Darn lack of actual cash :-(
9. Hamer Cruise in green, 2tek model, US made, active with basslines J pickups. [s]£500[/s] NOW £350 Discontinued but info here - http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/lets-see-...-basses-583015/ Looking also for trades for a 4-string with a P or Stingray config in a Precision or Jazz stylee. But would prefer a sale.
10. Anyone know where these are made?
11. Want. Want. WANT *checks bank account* *sits in a huff in the corner*
12. TBH Im less bothered about the quality of the website or the fact his photos are done in the living room, the question is whether the DIY ethic re: net presence affects the build or playability of the basses; which judging by the write-ups as a whole (inc. the range of guitars) may well not be the case. As to the visual impact of the basses, well I'm not fond of the 4s but I reckon the 5bass looks different in a good way and I'm all for that, plus it ticks a lot of personal boxes (through-body stringing, single/MM pick-up config etc.). So has anyone played a 5bass who can comment on comfort, sounds, build quality etc?
13. BUMP NB - strings bought new and have never been used.
14. Guitar strings SOLD, only the acoustic bass strings left!
15.
how do either work with bass? any low end loss?
Both pedals have tone controls, with the Crusher having bass/mid/treble knobs. I've used them exclusively for bass and not noticed any loss of low-end - I was running them with a bit of treble to accentuate the dirt though!
16. I can't believe Mick (mic mac moe) doesn't have a feedback thread because he should and it should be full of positive vibes. I am fairly sure that a swap of his Stingray 4 for my 5 in a halfway meet was my 1st ever transaction on Basschat. Loads of fun to talk bass with him for ages while our partners complained ;-) I have just sold him a Micro BR, instant payment, excellent comms and a very decent chap all round. Buy from or sell to mic mac moe with confidence. Alex
17. Guitar strings gone, price on acoustic bass strings lowered!
18. Begg/Gerald is obv. new to the board but my sale of a Guyatone TZ2 Fuzz to him has gone in true Basschat style (i.e well!). Instant payment, quick comms. and no quibbles. A great chap to do business with. Alex
19. Pete bought my Morley Little Alligator, I miss it already but its gone to a good home! Quick payment (by cheque too to avoid Paypal fees), excellent comms and a v. friendly transaction. Buy from/sell to with confidence. Alex
20. Sold a Paulman 5 to Lawrence. I have had a lot of good experiences buying and selling on Basschat and Lozbass is up there with the best. I am glad the bass has gone to him, he is not just a great guy to do business with but also really friendly, patient and good fun to chat with. Getting the bass to him was quite convoluted, involving some friends of mine who live closer to him - but he was totally cool about the whole thing and then went out of his way (geographically and time-wise) to pick the bass up - including a tram journey and a wait in Morrison's cafe so I'm told! Even my mate Gavin who passed the bass over to Lozbass commented on what a top bloke he is ;P To sum up - immediate payment, constant comms, a great transaction. Buy/sell with confidence when dealing with him.
21. Sold Blind Pilot a Guyatone MD3 delay - quick and easy transaction with fast payment, no problems. A pleasure to do business with :-)
22. UP - will swap any/all the strings for 5-bass sets
