1. Pm's answered
2. Thanks! It's lovely indeed, let's hope I can find a proper home for it!
3. Find the right people first, sort out logistics later. Always works! Like that one in Rush's latest, "Wish Them Well"
4. PM's replied-sunny day off bump.
5. +1, Wunjo are always good to me, last time I tried a second hand bass there one of the pots didn't work, so they fixed it on ten minutes for me and they knocked off £100 from the price!
6.
Most full time players of functions, cruises etc sicken of it eventually and need to get out. Not easy to find a new career at that stage.
I spent 6 years making a living from a covers band. Money wasn't great... Actually it was rubbish, but I was very happy about being "pro" and at the time I didn't have any attachments/partner/etc.. However, it was hard to see other musicians, people who had been at it for donkeys years, many of them divorced, and/or abusing drugs/booze etc... That's one of the reasons i quitted.
7. Bump for new photos on Photobucket
8. It certainly sounds Wyman-esque to me... And I love the video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVJkfXeTs9Q
9.
I also really like Undercover of the Night but apparently it was recorded twice - once with Bill and again with Robbie Shakespeare and I get the feeling that the one that was released was Robbie as their's a bit of popping going on.
Bugger, that was my favorite Stones' bass line... Still, prefer Wyman to anyone else playing with the Stones, but I won't pay a kidney to see them live, big stadium gigs are not my thing anymore...
10. Sunday morning bump
11. Bump for a lovely underdog...
12. Absolutely, I also have a Bongo and a Pedulla, in theory "better" basses, but this one has the best sound... I would be tempted to swap it for a 5 string TRB, but right now I'm getting along very well with the other ones (also 5ers) so I'll try to supress the GAS.
13. Hi Chris! You mean the MarkII? Yes, it is. I didn't mention it because I didn't want to mix with the TRBII (the neck-through-piezo, etc.) and I thought it would be easy not to take it for a MarkI. It's very clear here, on this photo from the Photobucket album: And it really saddens me to sell it, I was so happy to have a TRB once again..
14. Hi there. Reluctantly, I have to sell my MIJ Yamaha TRB6, bought here a few months ago. It's a great bass but unfortunately my dodgy neck doesn't seem to like it... 35" scale for that great sound on the B string, bolt-on, original picks and preamp... I love the sound in this basses, you can hear it here: http://www.myspace.c...ifford-88290876 Little pic here: And more here: http://s177.photobuc.../Yamaha%20TRB6/ As I mentioned on BC before, the volume pot doesn't cut the sound completely. This is something I also noticed on my first TRB and seems to explain why this basses drain so much battery, but as I also mentioned, on this one is less noticeable than on my previous one and you need to have the amp very loud to notice it. Little dings on body and neck and a bit of rust on one of the frets, all expected on a bass from the 90's, but nothing serious. I tried to show everything on the pictures and I can always take more pics on demand. Pricewise, I bought it for 550 without case or gigbag, then spent 80 at Wild Guitars fixing a missing pot and replacing the dodgy jack the previous owner forgot to mention.., so I think it's reasonable to ask for 550, including an old gigbag and Dunlop straplocks. I'm more than willing to meet on reasonable distance if you wanna try it (I'm based in Holloway, London). If you wanna come to Holloway to try it, I promise I can make a decent cup of tea. [s]Trades? Sorry, not looking for anything at the moment, prefer a straight sale.[/s] I still need the cash but I'm open to partial trades, WHY? I'm not looking for nothing in particular, but a TRB5 in the same colour would be most welcome! Cheers. NOW SOLD,PENDING COLLECTION AND PAYMENT.THANKS
15. Arr, plenty of interest but no cash to spare. Raptures are fantastic, have a bump on me and good luck with the sale!
