1. I made the same mistake last year selling mine,no worries :-)
2. Looks more like a TRB1005 to me, mate!
3. Bongos are great basses, but it's true it takes some time to get used to them! Have a free bump on me and I wish I had the cash to get this one....
4. Nice, indeed, have a bump on me, I still miss the one I sold years ago!
5. My favourite mistake (although I never talk about it...): Busy venue, long summer playing horrible covers in long gigs... song begins, few bars playing a two chord intro... We all inmediately noticed something odd, but couldn't quite see what it was... Time passes by, singer tries couple of times to enter, looks confused and desists... we keep on playing... And suddently I realize I'm playing 4 strings instead of 5, so I move my hand one string lower and endure the killing looks from everyone around me with a brave face....
6. Ta!
7. Hi there. I'm using a couple of EHX effects in my pedalboard with a mini jack power input, and I need and adaptor to conect them to a daisy chain (trying not to use all the outs in my power unit).Thing is, I went to Maplins and either they don't have anything like that or I was unlucky with the shop assistant.... Then tried Denmark Street and everyone kept on telling me to try Maplins.... Any ideas? Cheers.
8. I'll certainly check those PP3'S!
9. Thanks, mate! I'm not thinking on changing the electronics,I love the sound! But yesterday, after a very long rehearsal,I noticed a degradation of the sound, and the battery is quite new (4/5 weeks),so my idea is to add an on/off switch to cut completely the battery from the preamp when I'm not using it.... Cheers
10. Hi there, I have a bit of a technical issue with my new second-hand TRB, so I'm copying here my original post from the "Repairs" topic. Any comment will be welcome!
Help! Well, this is my second (and beloved) Yamaha TRB MIJ, and is the second where I found a bit of a problem: You can't cut the sound completely with the volume pot. Somehow there's always a tiny bit. In both cases the battery life is reduced drastically (my previous bass swallowed 1 every two months...) I'm just wondering, am I the only one whit this issues? My new one is second hand, but the previous one came straight from factory, so it looks like some defective batch...
12. Hi mate, it seems you´re getting on well with the Reissue! Ian here is a good guy, you can buy with confidence from him! Good luck with the sale!
13. More PM´s answered. And thanks for the comments, it´s an amazing bass, indeed, which unfortunately needs to go, since I´m getting something else and I want to keep only 3 at a time... Cheers.
14. PM´s all answered, I´ll be back around tomorrow.
15. Replied! Forgot to say, I would send it, buyer would pay the shipping costs. If itś not cash payment, would take bank transfer or if the buyer prefers, Paypal with buyer paying the fees. On this page here (http://tutv.co.uk/fresh/bitsandpieces/paypalcost.php) they calculate the fees for 700 pounds on 24 pounds... Cheers.
16. Back for sale, the job offer I had is "on hold".... Same price as before, 700 pounds. Cheers
17.
I have a Lace Helix Bass with them. They have a fairly open hi-fi sound, but the output is very low. Probably the quietest pickups I own.
Thanks for the answer! I suppose the Fender preamp would compensate for the low output... What do you mean exactly with "hi-fi" sound? Cheers!
18. Hi there, Has anyone tried the Lace Alumitone pickups? I'm quite curious about them and might be upgrading my Fender P American Deluxe with them... Cheers!
19. Gone, new band favours my two basses with flatwounds and "warmer" sounds... so withdrawn again. Sorry.
20. Withdrawn, new band, they want me to try this one with them....
21. Thanks for the comments!
22. Bump. Excellent bass at a great price, sad to let it go...
