  1. The same bass line twice on the B1 4 then twice on the MS60B. The Ms60B is, I think a little more open on the high mids, but it could be altered to get it closer still
  2. I can answer the second question straight off. The B1 four and The previous Zoom pedals can't share patches. I tried and found it can't be done. I have both so I will do a comparison with the B1 Four patch you mentioned and get back to you.
  3. I honestly thought I'd won with the song which inspired this thread, but not only have there been some great suggestions, I have been thinking about all those 60s number ones - and oh my those bass lines..
  4. I'll do a recording when I'm feeling up to it.
  5. It definitely isn't bass specific but no loss of low end and a mix facility make it ideal for us
  6. @Quatschmacher is quite right. When I got my FI I realised it could easily replace multiple effects. I really wanted to learn to programme and share my own sounds with it, but a cognitive defect associated with an illness, has made learning just too difficult. So I 'swapped' it and now have a C4 and an SY-1. The C4 needless to say I can't do much with beyond tweaking other people's patches. The SY-1 on the other hand is straight onto the board and being used.
  7. I love mine. I have the rest of the board in the loop of the SY-1. The amount of options is a bit daunting but on the flip side they're nearly all usable
  8. It's put me off too, but the joy of the Source Audio stuff is that while it can all be integrated so multiple pedals behave like a multi effect, it doesn't have to be. It can just be individual pedals. So I have an easy 'in' but can dig deeper if I choose.
  9. Bought my hub from Bass Direct. Still no sign of it. Must be coming via Bass Indirect. Steep learning curve awaits me should it ever arrive.
  10. I posted, very recently, that the Behringer chorus is my favourite. This may no longer be true. Bought on the strength of the Trapper octave fuzz I scored last week, I am equally impressed with this pedal. Might not be for everyone, my taste in chorus is rich, thick and syrupy. Most are way too polite for me. I want a chorus which transforms the bass but remains string and melodic. It's early days, I've only had a quick noodle, but my initial impressions of Fender pedals has been reinforced. Nice solid case, beautiful if simple finish, and precisely the right controls.
  11. My favourite chorus - total bargain.
  12. That's a good shout. Love that line.
  13. Don't keep us all in suspenders!
  14. Which UK number one single contains the best bass line. I will kick us off with Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick by Norman Watt-Roy. Also, take a drink when someone tells us it's all 'subjective'. Another drink when we're invited to debate what the word 'best' means. And finish the bottle when someone tells us it's 'impossible'.
  15. I just want to say that DI Joe is a brilliant name. Carry on.
  16. I agree with @Lord Sausage. I went through a very short phase of preferring a p bass neck, but that was entirely influenced by reading Basschat. I had no clue that nut width and neck profile existed as a variable until I kept reading it here. I actually don't give a monkeys what size or shape the neck is, it's different across all my basses. The only card I can't play - or rather prefer not to play - is neck dive. I buy purely on aesthetics now. I keep a bass unless it's uncomfortable to play.
  17. I perform mostly in three piece bands. If the solo isn't good enough to grab the audience attention and not leave an apparent 'hole' in the sound, then that's not on me. I do my job, the lead instrument does theirs. Or doesn't. It's kind of out of my hands. One thing I know for sure, the three piece with the keyboard player is way better than those with guitarists. The person who makes the difference under the solo is the drummer, they can open their sound with greater ease than us!
  18. We have decided its digital
  19. I am selling not buying though!
  20. Mr Black, Double Chorus
