  1. Hmm. It's a chorus pedal. Nothing on the builder's site to indicate either way. Just one mention on Anderton's saying digital - not really conclusive.
  2. How does one tell if a pedal is one or the other?
  3. Replied - not terribly helpfully I'm afraid.
  4. I have been through a ludicrous spell of buying pedals lately so need to get some cash in. Sadly I love all my effects so it will hurt whichever ones I put up for sale. This is no exception. A pedal with my name on it was too good to pass on. But I have many other chorus options so here it is. Price includes postage
  5. I used a pick on mine at rehearsal on Wednesday and they're still black! I may have to get a second set for my other black bass.
  6. I have just concluded a pedal trade with @bassfanand it went as sweet as a nut! The communication throughout was first class and I'm delighted with the outcome. A highly recommended Basschatter who I happily endorse.
  7. The phaser, envelope and downtown express are on my theoretical list. Not a real list. I don't need any more pedals. 😬
  8. OK, OK they're a close second. But no one makes a battery compartment you open without undoing anything, flips closed on its own and has a solid fixed position for the battery with no trailing wires. It's bliss. (the lights turn on and off with a small switch at the top face if the pedal, so, you know, they're pretty cool too)
  9. The Trapper is perfect for bass. Low end is never lost, the contour and tone controls are extremely flexible and the range of fuzz sounds very versatile . However... the thing that really impressed my inner geek is the coolest, best designed battery compartment I've ever seen in a pedal.
  10. No argument from me!

    New Pedals!

A couple of firsts for me. I've never had an MXR pedal I liked, and I've never had a Fender pedal at all. Well, the bass envelope by mxr is a really cool filter. The controls make sense, it's simple to get a good sound and, above all, the clean blend option makes the entire sweep usable. The Fender pedals have been on my radar a while now. They're attractively priced, and look good (to me). I waited for a second hand option and this two stage fuzz /octave came up the other day. The octave is either incredibly well tracked or non existent. I kind of can't tell if it's there or not. Which is as weird as it sounds. But the fuzz sound is really, really good. I dialled in a big fat blatty kind of overdriven valve sound with ease. Being able to keep that then kick in a second stage of fuzz can only be a useful tool. So first impressions are super positive. Where and when they will fit in the universe of my pedal horde I don't know. But that's fine. What matters is they're great pedals. This pleases me.
  12. Only circumstances where I don't gig with two of everything is a jam session when I'm supplying the bass gear.
  13. I haven't had any gigs forever, so only in rehearsal so far. It depends on the songs but if I get dep slots covers bands the obvious would be like Don't You Want Me Baby, I Want To Dance With Somebody - in fact most 80s hits.
  14. No its so easy to use it went straight onto the working board. The obsession with pedals has been a useful distraction during lockdown.
  15. That's on my other board (the board I actually use) this board has a bunch of tech which is taking me a long time to learn.
  16. Love this. Regret selling my Yamaha. But this is way nicer.
  17. It has many possibilities - and everything sounds amazing. But I'll always wish for more 🤷🏻‍♂️ Mr Black Gilamondo its a phaser. Best I've ever used.
  18. I like this a lot. I have just traded my Stomp for a Helix FX, looking forward to it arriving soon
  19. My board has changed again 🤦🏼‍♂️ This is fun
  20. They are really nice actually. Feel like strings, nothing weird or unusual and they're bright without being thin and rattly, but fat enough for me. Look sweet too
  21. Test kits available free delivered NHS online. Easy for everyone attending to test themselves that morning before setting out.
  22. I am driving from near Bath to Rainham in Kent some time later this month. I'll be there a couple of days then driving back. If I can be of help to anyone out East either sending or receiving a bass let me know. Happy to drive somewhere from Rainham as I'll be twiddling my thumbs up there.
