  1. Ha! Thanks. The mixer allows me to keep a clean signal and mix it with distortion and/or one or both envelope filters. The rest is just tuner, tone and compression.
  2. Yeah first time I saw them was supporting Elvis Costello in Bristol and they were weird but awesome!
  3. I struggled to enjoy the Pogues ever since a Paddy's night gig many moons ago. It was 50% Shane McGowan's indifference to his paying public, and 50% the inexplicable adulation of the crowd. Thankfully I've grown up since then and can enjoy the music again - but I would not pay to watch the sad alcoholic public decline of any great artist. Never again.
  4. In and around Bath and Bristol all are open, social distancing and masks in communal areas. In Bath tonight with the soul band and like an oaf I got all excited about the 2 envelope filters together and forgot I use a phaser an octave and a Freeze pedal. Or putting it another way, I took the wrong board 🤦🏼‍♂️
  5. Another day another rehearsal, with another band ... which means... Another Pedal Board! Going for the two envelope filters this time.
  6. Dayum! Had one just like this and sold it. Fool that I am. GLWTS, this is a great instrument.
  7. I enjoyed that rehearsal very much. Really splendid to lock in with a real life drummer and just sit in that pocket for a few hours. The one thing I did wrong was to spend the weeks leading up to the practice playing a bass with a couple less frets than the one I took to rehearse with today. Spend the first few songs playing the occasional not sharp through not reaching quite far enough left. Once into it all was splendid though. Elf into BF Midget is a wonderful recipe for success.
  8. An absolute dream of a bass. Plays itself, light, and sounds lovely, with loads of finger based tonal variety.
  9. Been a long time since I saw this particular band.
  10. Nice bass! You can never have too many. Bonus points for cheering up @Dood 😊
  11. Looks great! Congrats on a real steal deal.
  12. I had to spend an absolute fortune on expensive pedals in order to discover how good my Zoom multi effects are. Until I had actually played through several 150 - 200 quid envelope filters, I didn't realise how good the filters on the B1on actually are.
  13. Room wouldn't be a problem! There are some people here who have rehoused their FIs in tiny enclosures. I never want to programme the pedal from the box, I only want to go up and down through the presets - which needs dedicated footswitches not double tapping the up to go down - and exactly as you say volume, and most crucial of all a dry mix.
  14. I've never heard anyone dissing Joe Dart. And I certainly wouldn't take any further notice of them if I ever did.
  15. I have one of your home made pedals and it's brilliant. Buy with confidence folks
  16. You have a treat in store. Harley Benton makes great instruments at give away prices.
  17. Fascinating isn't it? We spend literally 1000s on effects and very few of us would be happy with this sound. And yet, as you say, it's exactly perfect. Context is all.
  18. These are really beautifully done, good luck with the channel.
  19. His video work could easily outstrip his pedal making. I think he's brilliant.
