Finally got around to spending quality time with this little box of tricks. I emailed HB HQ and received a prompt response. I asked if they'd consider more bass effects and sims, told them their pitch shift is out of tune and they promised to pass my concerns and ideas to the development team. So that's done. I also found a rich resource of cab sims (IRs) free to download. The Ampeg cab I used is simply wonderful. A game changer. I found a way to work with the pedal consisting of a series of 'base' sounds onto which I craft other effects. Copying and pasting with the desktop software is a doddle and I have many great sounds as a result. Being a 'guitar' effect is no handicap. The custom equaliser allows you to choose any frequency and boost or cut same. I'll record some and pop them up here to illustrate my point. All in all I am glad it didn't sell when I listed it. I feel it is a worthy successor to, and serious upgrade on, my Zoom B3.

Well @PaulThePlug, your idea did not pass unnoticed. I am just about managing to hold off buying the MS-60B currently on offer in the for sale department, and instead I have put my B1 Four in the final, vacant space. My vision originally comprised an unbroken array of identical pedals. For some reason I can't quite bring to mind, I thought this might provide a talking point. However the asymmetric addition of the B1 Four is, I fancy, a more artistically pleasing proposition.

No guitarist in that particular line up. I have to say it's bliss.

I have a few different ones, mooer, Rockboard, Harley benton. The Rockboard states that it delivers 1 amp from each output suggesting that they're separated. Anyhow I have managed to sort it out by giving that one problem pedal its own power supply and removing one of the digital pedals altogether. Next stop is a decent noise suppressor, just as a belt and braces measure.

Latest addition to the ABB™ Tiny powered mixer which allows me to run two signals and mix them at the end before the amp. Tuner first in chain has two outs. So one completely clean into the mixer and another from the last effect before the compressor. I toyed with the idea of ABY pedals but I wanted to keep it all Behringer and above all I wanted volume controls for each channel. It allows me to be way more flexible with my effects. Instead of trying to keep or boost bottom end with each pedal I can use them at more 'extreme' settings where some of them really sing. Then it's a simple two knob operation for my final blend.

I think we're all agreed that it's a mistake to say that you can't gig with plastic effects. And I've read that more than once. Biggest danger is from spilt beer not weak casings

I remember when nostalgia used to be something worth looking back on with a fond yearning. Not like the rubbish nostalgia you get these days. I just hope in time to come nostalgia will be as good as it used to be.

Been teasing myself with the idea of a new toy for a while now. Everywhere is out of stock, or overpriced. Except Thomann, which is neither. They make no bones about potential delivery problems beyond their control, so if I go with them I can't complain if everyone else gets stock in before my entirely unnecessary toy arrives. Maybe I'll wait and see. After all it's just GAS, nothing I actually need.

I've banged this drum for a little while now. I've stopped doing it for two reasons. 1: The growing number of like minded people provides a community of which I can be a part. I'm not an outsider any more. 2: The folk who've invested their hard earned in expensive instruments, quite understandably, don't want to hear it. Why would they? So rather than, on the one hand, pi§§ people off, or on the other hand preach to the converted, I contribute to threads like this. Oh, and enjoy my Harley's!

Glarry, famous for 'not bad basses' despite only costing about 80 quid a pop, have tried to break into the rarified air of the 'north of 150 notes' type basses. The twin has a richer sound, compared with some active basses it's a fairly subtle, natural sound. But the Stealth version is very easy to play, and very easy on the eye. With a little help from an eq pedal (or indeed from the tone controls on an amp) the gap between the sounds can be closed. However what the Stealth Bass can never get close to is the neck pick up on the other bass. That's a beast! All swings and roundabouts though. If you ever get called to thump and pull that pick up is way too close to the neck, the Stealth on the other hand has plenty of space

I am embarrassed to admit that I can't remember all I've bought during the lockdown. Swimming against the prevailing tide, I actually started a job (only part time) for health reasons I've been unable to work for a while. Having a modest but regular income proved to be too much for me. Also I have become horribly pedal addicted, so easy to store and so much fun to play with. Just scored a triple decker tone trunk for a very reasonable sum. Now of course I have to fill it.

I ought to add that the 2 pick up model has a chunkier neck, in case that's a deal breaker for you.

OK, same riff, first time with the stealth MM, second time bridge pick up on the Deluxe twin humbucker jobbie. The twin pup is three band active with a 5 position switch so ultra tweakable. It's also a bit louder but I left the levels alone so you could hear the diffrerence. No effects, no compression, straight onto the PC
