  1. Whether this has been addressed or not I can't say. I can say I put a Lidl rechargeable 9v in mine sometime early this year and when I picked it up today it was still fine.
  2. The qtb part refers to the finish. There's a black one, a white one, and the one I have which has a subtle purple quilting effect.

  4. Tell you what though the real surprise bass is this one I wasn't overly excited by its look, and for a long time I resisted. But when I finally gave in - oh my! I've been using it this evening. One of the nicest and easiest most comfortable instruments I've played. Only gigged It once (Covid) but was a joy to play
  5. Yeah I have. Amazing tonal variety if that's your thing. Personally I get a sound I like and stay there. Big old chunky neck on this baby. If you like them thin front to back this may not be for you. But the access to upper frets is great, it looks good even though pale fretboards are not my favourite, and sounds huge too. Downside? The only thing I've found is if you like slapping and pulling the huge neck pick up leaves you very little room for manoeuvre. There's no space to get fingers under the string comfortably.
  6. No. Others disagree, but any changes I've made have been made for fun, not necessity.
  7. Actually don't worry I can clearly see where the 9v positive comes in and connects, the ground is obviously going to ground with all the other grounds! Still wondering which of the components are blown...
  8. I guess it's a matter of what you're after - I actually like them so much I buy sets of the Harley benton rounds to replace other strings with!
  9. And you now have the option of a two Elf stereo rig!
  10. Thank you. I will be letting someone else do it I think. paging @basstone is this within your skill set?
  11. I was told it worked before it came to me so I sincerely hope that's not the case
  12. Hi, I am trying to restore a bass to its original glory. I have the pickguard with the original circuitry and the previous owner labelled the wiring so I'm reasonably confident that I can connect it all up. Except for the battery. There is just an void where the battery sits. No wiring nothing. I am fine getting the clip, 9v connection and wires. But where in tarnation do I connect them?
  13. That's exactly it isn't it? The single most important thing. Everything else is easily changed.
  14. I was stuck in a car park for couple of hours yesterday, thanks to the Music Speed Changer app I was able to use the time to learn a couple of tricky sections of a song. Very pleased with it
  15. I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside to read these kind of comments. People just liking the bass simply because it's a great instrument. Not it's ok for the price, or it'll be ok if I change this this and this, in fact no qualification at all. Just this is a great bass oh and by the way - look at the price!
  16. 🤦‍♂️ You'll no doubt be delighted to know I zeroed the scale AFTER applying the towel.
  17. I thought the black would ruin the aesthetic , but no, this is great. I still like the tort but seriously this is really good.
  18. I sold a Pedaltrain to Dunc. It was a nightmare. Not because of anything he did but because I made the classic mistake of using Myherpes to collect and deliver. They were telling him one thing and me another, not collecting it and saying that they had, and generally making a male chicken up of the whole thing. Dunc was a total gent throughout, good humoured and understanding. If all buyers were like this life would be sweet.
  19. Bought a pedal from Paul in a completely straight forward transaction. Paul kept me informed each step of the way and the pedal arrived well packed and in tip top condition. A highly recommended Basschatter
  20. Haha, that's nothing! Look at this illustration of an idea for the pedal I'm having built..
  21. I had to sit in a hospital carpark for a couple of hours today. Took my little J&D jazz, a headphone amp, and had a full practise in the car! Useful little chaps.
  22. Aaaargh stop it. You know how weak I am.
