  1. Just a fabulous looking bass. I'm sure it will sell before I'm solvent again, sadly
  2. I am very keen on these. How does it balance?
  3. Well... that more than clears things up. Basically, better employment conditions than the UK.
  4. Love that @Old Horse Murphy!
  5. Never heard of them before what do you know?
  6. I don't know, I just took it out of the box this afternoon
  7. Anyone know what price point they sell at?
  8. Looks so cool! Good luck with the sale.
  9. Just bought a clean boost pedal to loop with one of my pesky volume drop effects. Humungous loud BANG! whenever I turn it on. Doesn't diminish after multpile use of the switch. Not a huge issue as it'll be always on and in a loop switched elsewhere. But still darned annoying. I read that all true bypass effects do this. Well, not all of mine do! And those that do don't make quite such a good imitation of a shotgun. Is there qanything to be done?
  10. Literally never heard of him so I came to this thread without preconceptions. A minute or so in and I thought this is reminiscent of the Simply Red school of trying hard to be full of soul but just sounding lame and bilious. Great bass playing from Ped though.
  11. Anyone heard of these? Interesting looking Italia P Bass on Marketplace caught my eye, and not that expensive. Looks like it's covered in leather/vinyl.
  12. I honestly don't think you'll regret it. I know we all look for different things in a bass, hear different things and have different things which might niggle us, but this feels, sounds and plays so well, I think at the price almost anyone would be happy.
  13. I mean, if your actually going to force it on me...
  14. I do have a set of RCFs we use as our main out front for vocal, keys and maybe a bit of the drum kit depending on the room. I wouldn't compare it with those, but then, they're the best I've ever heard. I only planned on using it as a monitor as a wedding band I dep for are all in-ears, no backline. I'm not going to buy in-ears when I might only get one or two gigs from them but the monitor is always a useful bit of kit. It handles everything I've thrown at it just fine and in case of dire emergency could do service as FOH. For £50 I'm very happy.
  15. Dan somehow allowed me to steal the world's finest ever Bass Overdrive Pedal. What a great guy to deal with. Always kept me informed what was happening, courteous, honest and an all round good egg. Happy to recommend him.
  16. I picked up a Studiospares powered speaker for peanuts. It was use but even so still so cheap. Gigged it once in a largish city centre pub with a preamp. I lost the real, deepest bottom end is all. But the mids (which people seem to like) were fine.
  17. Just received another magic switchable tone pot from John's ever reliable works. The usual excellent service.
