Are there any non invasive solutions for this problem? I bought a beautiful bass hereabouts, it took a huge BC effort to get it to me, but I can't play it because I only have two hands and my left one is busy holding the neck up. Definitely don't want to have any holes chopped in it. The only thing I've found that helps is to hang something off the rear strap button, thus balancing the beast at the cost of greater body weight. But its an inelegant solution and unpleasant with a weight swinging around back there.

Looking forward to mine arriving soon. I paid extra for the limited edition ones signed on the back by Ped.

Best is my beautiful matt black Harley Pbass. Played sublimely straight out of the box, looks fantastic (to me), and at a mind bogglingly low price I can't believe how good it is. Honourable mentions to my new Ashdown rig RM500 112 and 112 extension cab. Bought to be sensible and downsize from my Ashdown and Trace big rigs. Punches so far above its weight I love it. Also, my Nux Bumblebee pedal board is a winner in the accessories category. Pedal winner is undoubtedly my Littlebox by Bad Penny FX. A monster. Haven't hated anything I've bought but the HB guitar multi effects was a mistaken impulse as I wanted it for a rig so complex and convoluted it was never going to happen.

Hoping one day soon it'll be seeing some action.

I have never weighed mine but I have many many basses to compare and I thought this one was actually a nice weight. Lighter than many (an old HB jazz I have is pretty lumpy) but not remarkably so.

Hi, I can't contribute to the science, but I have gigged a 2 x 8 vertically aligned, lightweight cab and it was very good. TC Electronic 208 to be precise. When paired with a 1 X 10 it was very, very capable. Having said all that, your sound is what you like, and might not be what any of us like. If I was to recommend a manufacturer it would be the same as @chris_b - Barefaced. Happy to guarantee you won't regret it.

That really sucks when you have to work on a new bass. I know it hurts less when it costs less but that's not the point. I have been lucky with almost all of the HBs I've had. I shoved a new pick up in one just to see what improvements it might make, but ham fisted as I am it now buzzes like a fridge.
