  1. I guess if enough people think it's great then it qualifies. There was a time I might have debated intrinsic greatness versus subjectivity, but now I just go with the flow.
  2. I disagree. Except I actually agree. Let me try that again. I agree that a great bassline doesn't need to be flashy. Imagine AC/DC if the bassist was running up and down the fretboard. It would rip the guts from the song. So there is such a thing as a great bassline. It just doesn't necessarily have to use all the notes all the time.
  3. Not yet, not contacted them yet, still learning the ins and outs.
  4. I quite like these lists. If it introduces me to a great line or a great player, then happy days. Thanks for sharing.
  5. I've had the chance to set up my Bi-amp rig. Main effects board covers both rigs, this went into the loop of the 'treble' amp. It's spectacular! Really good hearing it at volume. I like being able to hear distortion, chorus, envelope filters and so on, working on the higher end of my sound while my big bottom remains solid. I then tried this as a stand alone through a straightforward amp/cab set up. And it's absolutely fine for bass. If you want distortion then this has every conceivable option. I'm even warming to the idea of reverb on a bass! Considering the price point this is an excellent option for recording and live work. It ain't a Helix, but it doesn't claim to be. It's not as flexible as a Zoom but the simple way the menu is organised makes it incredibly easy to use and to understand. The only weakness I've found so far is a small delay when switching between patches. A real issue if you want to bring a different patch in and out during a song. Definitely needs ironing out.
  6. Any flangists out there? What's your favourite, what's it do that you like so much, and where does it sit in your pedal chain?
  7. Not that flush I'm afraid! now that's a great idea.... Just sold my most recent fretless, not for me I'm afraid Now you're talking!
  8. Thank you! OK nice idea
  9. Ha ha - it's for me. But so far we have p bass and shortscale... Oh and jazz...
  10. Thank you. I love how bassist you are with your answers. P-bass trumps baby news 😂😂😂
  11. My first grandson was born in the wee small hours and I just got paid for a bit of work I did. So. What bass related thing should I buy myself to celebrate?
  12. It's great fun.
  13. I only ever mean in my experience when I post. I can't compare with this as I've not used one. Is it really enormous or is the speaker up the wrong way? 🤔
  14. Yep. Same here. Nothing else comes remotely close. It's not a sound, it's an experience.
  15. The maths sounds good and I firmly believe that you cannot have too many amps and cabs in one rig!
  16. Sorry! The only way I could fund it would be to sell my Maruszczyk. Which doesn't make a lot of sense 🤔
  17. I love a Maruszczyk. I love a P bass. I love a red P-bass with a dark fretboard and tort plate. I don't have £850. If anyone looking at this doesn't know how good these instruments are and does have that amount of money, don't hesitate. Good luck with your sale.
  18. God yes. I wouldn't spend Apple money even if I had it! It's a refurbed Huwewaweiwawei I got off ebay.
  19. Nope. No such thing.
  20. I would say that is very, very cool logo.
  21. It's this little thing - I use an Android tablet for all my setlists, chord charts and sheet music. My software of choice for reading dots is Mobile Sheets Pro. I have no complaints, but turning the page or setting automatic scroll can be a pain. These two little pedals, once paired and connected via Bluetooth, allow me to flip that page with my toes! I am so happy it's embarrassing.
  22. Now that us most surely true
