  1. Ha! I was teasing. You know when you have a keeper though don't you? I think we often buy basses because they're beautiful, the problem is that they're all beautiful!
  2. That's stunning. Nice to hear from a Basschatter who will never buy another bass again. Rare breed! Enjoy.
  3. Always been a Servisol man myself. But only if a fast wiggling of the pot doesn't do the trick. Quick squirt on a suitable cloth excellent for cleaning specs too.
  4. Well, what can I say? Happy birthday mate. What a terrifying ordeal. I hope you have learned the obvious lesson here. You need to buy another bass. Something light weight.
  5. My pleasure. I won't get the house to myself until later, but I'll get to it as soon as I can.

The d'addario strings it shipped with sound really rich as well. Just used it for our next lockdown recording, and I cannot fault it. B stock too.
  7. Hi, excuse me for being dense. But where is the light when it's all assembled? Do you have a picture of the bass with this attached? Thanks
  8. I'm firmly in the 2X15 camp. Except for the years years I gigged with 8X10. Hmm. Guess my feet are firmly in 2 camps!!
  9. Absolutely nowt wrong with Laney mate. I used to use them all the time. Didn't realise they did lightweight 4X10 though... Let us know what you think
  10. Actually I think it does, but you have to crank it. Can throw some recordings together if you'd like
  11. I hadn't heard it before so I still enjoyed it.
  12. Hmm. I think I've heard this story here before. PMT dodgy CTM. Not good.
  13. I was so close to getting the BAM200, I didn't because already having the BG250 208 combo I reasoned I had a 250 watt version which I could simply take out of the combo and use as a small head. When my SVT went pop at a gig one Sunday night in Swindon, I was glad to have the little TCE. It got me through the gig. But the itch for the Elf never went away. When one came up second hand and I was in funds from a sale, I put the TC back into its combo. No idea if it will get a lot of use because I don't know how many gigs there will be when I get back out into the world. Looking forward to your review @mcnach
  14. Weird. I have loved music since I was 7, been buying it since I was 10. Yet I can't think of one single artist that I like in these terms. I wonder whats going on here. Do I not pay much attention to charts, sales and such? Or do I seem to lose interest once a band becomes a huge success? Anyway, sorry, carry on.
  15. narrow staircase no problem with Barefaced, they're not very big and so light, manoeuvring is a doddle
  16. Wasn't picking you up on that mate, it was the 'all other cabs' , I genuinely wondered if the 300 might be wider
  17. Is the CTM300 wider than the 100 then? Because min sits perfectly on my compacts, made to measure you might say!

And access is great all the way up.

I grew up playing a fairly hefty Aria, so actually don't mind this
  20. I can only go by my CTM100 experience, but yes Barefaced cabs sound amazing. I use 2 15s (Compact I think they're called) in landscape mode.. The amp fits perfectly and the sound is splendid. Congrats on the impending arrival
