  1. Understatement of 2020 contender right there
  2. Sound clips , pictues and a four page review please!
  3. @Chewiethat red is beautiful isn't it? I really like mine (sunburst) but that is lovely. I think it's a high quality instrument, but I don't search for faults in a bass. If something leaps out at me that's different, otherwise does it sound, look, feel and play nicely? Those are the only questions that matter to me. I have basses that cost £1200 and basses that cost £137 and have zero difference in sound, looks and playability.
  4. Damn, that's a beautiful little collection of instruments. Out of my price range and too nice for the places I play! But they look really good.
  5. Front page has it at 395
  6. The Phil Lynott one is at 2 different prices depending on where you look. I'd have been sorely tempted at the lower price
  7. Awww, but, but, aww ...I've been good.
  8. It's my birthday next week, wonder if the buyer is getting it for me?
  9. The Bass Collection instruments are top class. Not 'great for the price' in my opinion, just great. The Profile was my first, but over the years I will be getting more. Not the worlds biggest Jazz fan but this one looks like a seriously sexy bit of wood and wire Congratulations.
  10. Went to Thomann and had a peek. Noticed that for a few quid more you can get the same bag but the two bass version. Then I thought, how bulky and heavy that would be. And then I spied Thomann's own brand case which has some pretty cool features. A large storage pod which is removable, and thicker padding than the Gator. Lots of choices.
  11. cheers mate, great review, am thinking of selling off my huge collection of hard cases to fund a couple of these.
  12. That's the colour I'm toying with for my birthday treat. To me. From me.
  13. Thank you!
  14. This is my experience. A bass tutor asked me to run through so. e songs I knew so he could assess where I was at. I couldn't play a damn thing. Not on my own just into the open air. I needed the other parts of the song. As far as memory goes, I stop playing a tune and it's gone in a few weeks. The bonus is that it's not gone like it was never learned, it comes back noticeably faster than learning a brand new song.
  15. Useful to have about the house I suppose, if you can get them to do the washing up and stuff. But if it had been me I'd have just as soon kept the bass.
  16. Anyone had a bash on one of these? Care to share if you have?
  17. Yeah! Rename it baby!
  18. Interesting. I found the specs for the Bass Centre and it states 42mm nut width, so that's encouraging assuming it's correct. They don't have any right now though. Did you flog yours on here?
  19. This intrigues me. Jazz body with double P pups? Do you recall what the neck was like? I love the solid big chunky neck on my Revelation P but jazz necks are a bit too flimsy for me.
  20. I have this exact colour scheme. It's so easy to play. But the sound from it is huge! Truly insane how good it is for a sub 200 quid guitar. It's the only thing I've found to contend with HB in the value for money stakes.
  21. Kent Armstrong pick ups are very good in my humble opinion.
  22. I hadn't heard of them until one popped up for sale here. Very nice instrument.
  23. That's nice work. Need to buy the bass now I know I can customise it.
