  1. Bought one of these just because it was so cheap really. My excuse was the more expensive supplies I own are either too fat or don't have enough outlets. Truth is I have always wanted to try one of these and a guy on YouTube did a great couple of videos explaining how the power is cleaned up on them. I didn't understand the technical side of his explanation but it sounded pretty convincing. And it was really cheap. So is it any good? Yep. Totally silent. And really slim. Only downside is the flimsy little cable running from a wall wart.

    Chorus Joy

I have bought many of them but the one which so perfectly scratched my itch is the Boss BF-3

    Chorus Joy

Double bubble for me because I had it with a flanger recently too!

    Chorus Joy

I've always had a chorus sound in my head which is never quite matched by my pedals. Every time I think I'm there I'm left with nagging doubts. The ones I've liked seem lovely and gooey on their own but too thick and indistinct in a mix. The others are thin and too light to do what I want. Untill now! I took a punt on a £35 Demon FX copy of the Analogman mini chorus. I can't tell you if it's remotely similar because I don't have the cash to splash on the original. What I can tell you is it's the first time I've had a chorus where I've needed to reduce the depth. Even dialled back the sound was still gorgeously rich, and yet each note was beautifully clear. Will I stop trying different pedals? Probably not. Will this be hard to prise off the board? Absolutely.
  5. Oh it's very nice. Took no time to dial in what I wanted. Metal chassis, looks and feels well made.
  6. It is a bit of a steal. It's a lovely chorus too.
  7. Demon FX auto wah and chorus.
  8. Been dying painfully this week from some awful lurgy. So tomorrow night's board is ready ahead of time. It's as basic as can be for me - the phaser covering both its own and flanger duties too. No 'wild card' crazy pedals, just the ones I know. Two new signings (chorus and auto wah) getting their first team debuts.
  9. Packaging excellent. Pedals excellent. Everything exactly as advertised. Recommended.
  10. I can tell you're all agog with excitement to know if this company is legit, and so here's an update. The pedals have just arrived. That's pretty good for a free post response to a weekend order. More updates when we have them. Stay tuned.

    Affordaboard

I've ordered a couple of pedals from them just to see if they are reliable. Free postage and nice prices (if you don't object to clones) too good to be true? We shall see. https://www.affordaboard-pedals.co.uk/
  12. A light distortion first will bring that lacklustre phaser to life!
  13. Yeah. I'm in a flangey place atm. The Boss is the one gets me where I want to be. Does that thing I hear in my head when I think of a flanger. However the JHS is an interesting one. I get more if a light phaser sound out of it. Probably best suited to a g****r really but very useable
  14. Oh my God I'm in trouble. I LOVE Reverend basses... Edit: Macclesfield! Phew too far away.
  15. Ok so ... anyone here from Yeovil teach?
  16. So...could this be added to a multi effect to add 7 extra foot switches? Please excuse my ignorance.
  17. A friend has asked if 8 years old is too young to start lessons. I can't do it as they live too far from me, but what do folk think?
  18. I think it's all linked to my obsessive pedal buying. I just like pedals. Enjoy collecting them, regret selling. By putting boards together I get to use a bunch of different ones rather than them just sitting on a shelf. Each board is usually quite similar to it's predecessor. Comp, octave, boost, dirt, modulation and envelope filter. I like the flexibility to be able to create synth sounds with pedal combinations, otherwise I like to add a synth too .
  19. As I put my board together for Friday's gig, it occurred to me that I didn't used to build a pedal board for every gig. Does anyone else enjoy doing this? Or am I alone, perhaps slightly insane?
  20. Not having used b3k I couldn't say. It's my always on dirt pedal. I haven't gigged it yet (just about to go on) but it's reasonably low gain. Although it does get gnarly.
  21. Tonight's board. Couple of new Joyo pedals. Great compressor, Double Thruster overdrive and the vision modulation. The Vision is really a multi effect with some neat features. Not least of which is parallel routing
  22. It does! It's in the phone app you use to control it. I've gigged with mine. It's really good
