  1. Gigged only once since the new valves went in. Anyone up for some British tube type goodness?
  2. I didn't realise this applies to TCE as well. I knew Markbass stuff cannot be maintained except by post for vast expense. Is all class D stuff the same?
  3. I almost agree with you! So that's good. The pitch shifting gives me no trouble at all. Also deserving of mention, the synth effect is quite incredibly flexible with a gazillion adjustable parameters. Being able to adjust over all volume and tone on the fly is a great addition too. One of the issues with multi fx is how different they sound on the venue compared with the bedroom. Often a simple bass boost or cut or volume change is all that's needed to fix it. Menu diving into a digital pedal mid gig is never fun.
  4. Impossible to say if you will like the effects or not it's all down to personal preference and expectation. However it's an excellent practice tool, and tuner. If you're only after reverb, you can't really go wrong.
  5. Seriously, it is. Its light and can be powered off AA batteries, a useful headphone amp if nothing else. Lots of reverb and delay effects.
  6. Yeah the 4 is the new 1 (as it were) and jolly good it is too.
  7. Agreed. If it was a battery powered headphone amp with aux in it would be considered a bargain. Actually it is way more than that.
  8. I always recommend RCF and they do one of those modern thingies. I only say this because they're the best I've owned. I haven't tried them all you understand!
  9. My absolute favourite styles of bass to play are ska and heavy rock. What is that all about?
  10. So glad this is pick up only. Been wanting to try one of these for a while now but I can't afford it, would buy it anyway and then I would starve. Fortunately you're too far away! Good luck with your sale.
  11. Most glorious. I was going to say that I bow to no man in my love of these instruments but reading what others have written, it seems I far from alone. Good luck with your sale, way beyond my means unfortunately
  12. Lighter than my SVT I think, but I could be wrong
  13. Wow! You never cease to amaze me with your knowledge in this area. What told you it wasn't a Matsumoku ?
  14. I'd go for Wales over England. But Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is the better of the three
  15. I missed one for sale here a while ago. Would have loved to try it.
  16. No longer selling. Thanks for looking. Just spent £160 having this serviced and set up. Two brand new kt88 valves and all new high quality tone pots. Comes with a very nice cover, not too heavy, especially for an all valve amp. I suspect you don't need me to tell you much about this. Our own on house expert @Dooddid a great video review which is on YouTube. I'd rather meet or use the Basschat Underground Railway than trust this to the tender mercies of Hermes
  17. A bunch of football fans.
  18. You know me so well
  19. Amen to that. You'd think Bugera were the only company with a marketing department. I respect other people's right to mention the 2000w figure whenever it is discussed, of course I do. For myself it could say on the box it is made in outer space by the Clangers and I could not possibly care less. How does it sound, is it reliable, is it loud enough, how bulky and heavy is it? The only questions I have for this or any other amp. Ok, maybe how pretty is it too!
  20. I have just enjoyed a rather excellent transaction with this most esteemed Basschatter. Trust me - you can't go wrong. prompt, courteous, honest and a very good packer of the bass. Recommended.
