    Glad it worked out for you @King Tut. I have no complaints about mine, just an observation that the sound is very clean, clinical almost. It's all down to personal taste of course but I like a little bit of roughness just around the edges. A low gain distortion pedal sorts this admirably. I also like to use it as a simple power amp. The Trace sim on the B1-Four through this is righteous!

    I don't know how to describe it I'm afraid. It feels just fine to me but I'm not fussy when it comes to tension

    Already thought about that. And had a stern word with myself. No spare cash, too many basses.

    Lately I seem to be collecting second hand basses around the £200 mark - give or take £20. It occurred to me that if I'd held on to the cash spent on a half dozen of these I could have bought a serious bit of wood, strings and wiring. But actually I prefer it this way. Each bass gives me joy in its own way. Six lots of joy up against one. What would you prefer? One 1200 quid bass or six more affordable ones? Why?
