  1. I love to bi and even tri at times. Yes it is Quixotic, but it's also great fun. At present my most regular gigging band doesn't allow time to properly set up such wonders, but I do it whenever I can. Nothing sounds quite like it.
  2. Yep, it makes no sense. I think you're a splendid person in any and every way imaginable, but these pictures make my tummy hurt.
  3. Yes. I am the worst person at wheeling and dealing. I sell low buy high. I miss every bass I've ever sold.
  4. Still working on it
  5. On my long term bucket gas list. Utterly gorgeous.
  6. Actually just remembered, Peavey have produced a couple of gasworthy beasts, not least
  7. It's all subjective of course, and who knows I may see a coffee table bass tomorrow that makes me swoon. I'm not just opinionated I'm fickle too. Feet of clay!
  8. This thread is quite interesting in what it tells me about P and J basses. Take them away and with a few obvious exceptions (Rics, T birds, semi acoustics ) most everything else looks hideous. * Not all, but most. So perhaps it becomes increasingly obvious why those ubiquitous fender shapes remain the start point for so many manufacturers. The Aria Proll SB for me is the exception to the rule. *personal opinion expressed as fact, not actually a provable proposition.
  9. Hey I'm not worried at all. Honestly just having a bit of fun. I paid 180 quid, have I got a 180 quid bass? Not as far as I'm concerned. I think it's superior to others I've owned which cost more. It's immaculate, feels plays and sounds great and I love how it looks. I now want another just like it but in a different colour. Maybe it will be cheaper when I find it maybe it won't. But I'll enjoy looking for it, buying it, and looking at it once I have it. Can't put a price on such things.
  10. ⚡⚡🌪️🔥🔥🔥☄️🌀🌀🌀🌀⚰️
  11. Well you guys got bargains and I paid a fair price. I repeat you guys got bargains and I paid a fair price. You guys got bargains and I paid a fair price you guydgitbargsinsandipaidafaurpriceyouguysgitbargainsandioaidafairprice😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵 🤯
  12. Ah, ok, fair enough!
  13. Absolute bargain. If it isn't then I was seriously ripped off paying 180 for mine.
  14. Great to hear it!
  15. Can't go wrong with a Harley. If only these came with a darker fretboard. GLWTS
  16. looked but couldn't find it.
  17. Hmm 🤔. The combo is 499 so that suggested price is a little more than I'd like to pay. For an extra 25 quid I'd prefer to have the combo and take the amp off!
  18. I wonder if I'll get to try one at the SWBB next month. @Chownybass?
  19. Can't go wrong with Markbass cabs. I sold mine for peanuts to pay bills, wish I could have kept them. I gigged with Trace /MB as well and it sounded enormous.
  20. I put Stop Making Sense on the other day (learning their version of Take Me To The River) and ended up just jamming along with Tina to the whole thing. She is the absolute epitome of getting into a groove and staying there. Bass playing means so many different things but one of the fundamental joys of the instrument is sitting in a big fat repeating groove. I love it.
  21. We had a DJ collective played our bar calling themselves Cheesy Listening, went down a storm.
  22. @basstone did it. He can fill you in I'm sure.
  23. No. I've the Ashdown approved upgrade and they do a bit more. But this simple set up brings the power of those buttons into play
  24. While everyone is getting their knickers in a twist about Ashdown and their foray into the bass guitar market these nifty little combos seem to have slipped under the radar. The specs say the 15" 300w model is lighter than their current lightweight 1 x15 cab. Which got me thinking, I wonder if there are any plans to release a cab only version. I could certainly be tempted after watching MG lift the combo with one finger at Namm. If it's 500 quid with an amp built in I'm guessing a cab could go for 300. Seriously lightweight tiny cabs, and apparently you can fling them off the roof and they bounce. What's not to like?
