  1. Oh God, the flood gates will open, fur will fly. The experts and Anti Behringer mob will be lighting torches and waving pitchforks as soon as they read this
  2. Hard to say how they come to their wattage figures, the older stuff was more conservatively rated. I had a 1k cab but that was 4 x 250 speakers so very easy to believe

    MINI???

You know I will need to buy it just so I have the full set 🤦🏼‍♂️
  4. I ran my gain almost flat out last night. Best sound I've ever had from the CTM, bass I used isn't that loud effects level not too high.
  5. Not specifically, however I still gig a bugera 15" speaker I bought a very long time ago (around 15 years) and despite some years stored in a garage (dusty in summer damp in winter) it sounds great and has never missed a beat. Claims 600w and I've never had cause to doubt that either.
  6. This is the desperately sad truth.
  7. Got mine from Andertons too. Its so useful. Different outputs and scenes, and a scan allowing you to see what channels are getting clogged so you can switch. Battery consumption is great and I run my receiver off a power bank so one less socket, plug and cable.
  8. I assumed if it was parallel I'd hear a clean signal too. Very good point about the HPF. Same for compression I assume.
  9. This is an interesting idea...
  10. I can only assume series. Put it this way it sounds exactly the same going from fx to input as it does using the loop
  11. I don't know. Hang on I'll have a play
  12. Effects pedals. Big muff, HPF, octaver and auto wah generally
  13. I used to bemoan the time consumed either side of a gig. But then I was married, had other demands on that time. Now gigging is what I do, I love every part of it, even sorting and cleaning cables midweek.

    MINI???

I have recently come into possession of a Mini Q Tron. I have one question. How big is a regular Q Tron? If this is the Mini I dread to think. I could attach a leg at each corner and use it as a dining table.
  15. We just did this in our first set. Guitarist started Get Lucky at roughly half speed. I am bald, I had a full head of hair when we started.Dirgeathon.
  16. I tried so hard to be last here and still I got here first I cannot beat this band for tardiness, so my gig prep involves lying in a hotel room typing this.
  17. Shekshy
  18. It's one of the things changing for me over the years. My mistake was using a g*******t as a tech for years instead of learning to do it myself. Now I'm happier with a little bit of air under my strings. See also flatwounds and rolling off the extreme bottom end of the eq.
  19. @Monkey Steve - What a tale! And yet again we see the people with the lowest level of C-gene (love that btw) come out best in the long run. Which is exactly why I started this thread, so that those being unfairly treated by C-geners can see that actually all of it may well be for the best in the long run. Thank you.
  20. I was reflecting how I used to spend hours rehearsing on the day of a gig. How times change. Nowadays I have come to realise that once I've decided which amp/cab/bass combination I'm going with, the only important thing to do is assemble, take, apart, and reassemble pedal boards. All day.
  21. That is the mutts nuts
  22. Late night layby meet up with John to pick up a neat little combo for singer in my band. She's my dep but keeps borrowing my kit! No more. Thanks John, lovely meeting you, great communication throughout , a totally painless Basschat transaction.
