  1. Spent this evening engrossed with my new toys. Bass into EHX Tri Parallel Mixer. First send to guitar amp via Digitech Ricochet into Bass Whammy into guitar pre amp pedal into reverb. Second send to bass amp. It sounds sublime. Can mute either bass or guitar and add in 4th 3rd, 5th or whatever from the Whammy giving the 'guitar' two stages one for single notes the second for power chords. Going to work hard to get used to the set up and when to use it and on which songs then unveil it to an unsuspecting band rehearsal on Tuesday evening. Thanks for all the advice and ideas and to @dannybuoy for the pedals. I love it when a plan comes together.
  2. Postman just produced a perfectly packaged pair of pedals. Thank you @dannybuoy for an utterly painless transaction; great communication throughout, items as described and very fairly priced. Thinking of trading with dannybuoy? Do it.
  3. Carlsberg doesn't do introductions.... but if it did
  4. The OP actually states "All suggestions welcome" Hardly any need to be rude to him.
  5. I prefer 15s. Always have. Not everything in life is rational!
  6. Hey Frank I am not questioning your experience in any way - I love my Barefaced Compact. But honestly I put a Trace Elliot on top of two MB 151 cabs and, for the right style of music, I was very happy with the results. Also my Orange Terror and MB cabs was an amazing combination. But the BF cabs are my go to. They're just so versatile. And wider too. This is always a matter of personal preference of course.
  7. You beat me to Stealth's cab. I don't need it and therefore should be happy to have saved the money. But seeing this, oh my. How good would that look under my CTM 100? Congratulations on two killer rigs. I bet you just sit and stare at them don't you? 😉
  8. I have both the Markbass New York 151 and the BF Compact. I'm going to disagree with those who suggest a country mile between them. The MB isn't a lesser cab, just a different cab. Where are you based @PJ-Bassist? You're welcome to borrow a cab if you're close enough.
  9. I have been right where you are now. I wonder if perhaps you went back to it too soon. When I got back on the horse I was in a different frame of mind and found it easier to smile at other's foibles. Oh and joined multiple bands so I could walk away from the idiots and stay with the winners.
  10. I am toying with the colour scheme for mine too. One idea is to get a little green in there - homage to my beloved Trace Elliot heritage. Maybe mix the paint to get a deep greenish black. I have several old TE grills I could use - assuming they would fit. There is also a company that produce bespoke speaker cloths which gives unlimited scope. One for each day of the week if you wanted! Above all I shall be clearing space in my tiny gear store as I think this could be a cab for all seasons. Other bigger boxes will go. Although if I enjoy the build maybe the boxes could go but the speakers might get new home built enclosures. Anticipation is building.
  11. Please let us know how you get on - I've recommended this amp (as one option of several) to a friend looking for lightweight kit.
  12. Or sooner - don't give me opportunity to spend it!
  13. Bass player needed for established rock/pop band based in Morden/Wimbledon/Worcester Park area. https://youtu.be/q0PJgXww2NE please contact [email protected]
  14. I wish I could have contributed in a practical way to this incredible project. As it is I have nothing but respect for those who made it possible.
  15. I had it set to 100% wet and it was working. Then without me touch it, it wasn't But thank you @Jonathan Bee
  16. Well done, fantastic work. But one important question. Badge placement.... Always been a top left kind of guy myself. Or a bottom central. What is the guidence here?
  17. Thanks guys. I have ordered a new set distinct from my usual brand and will keep them exclusively for the line 6 so I can test them. I was so close! Approaching the final chorus of the last song when they died.
  18. Hello again bass hive mind. Another question for your collective wisdom: My Line 6 G75 indicated I had 4 hours 55 minutes battery life at the start of my gig. Then under two hours later it died on me. What gives?
  19. Hello bass hive mind. Asking this one out of curiosity really as I'll soon be using alternative methods to shift my pitches. I depped with a band last night who did awkward things like playing songs I know well, but did them in different keys. Down a semi tone up a full tone that kind of thing. I know, I'll cheat and use the pitch shift on my B3 to drop the semi-tone. Tried it, sounded fine actually, job done. But then when I came to use it I discovered that it had developed a fault. Despite both patch balance and the balance on the pitch shift being dialled to 100% the original note still bled through. As you can imagine this sounded horrendous and so I had to transpose on the fly instead. How or why could this have happened?
  20. TOMORROW?? You have patience beyond the power of human imagination.
