Haven't used my RM set up for a while. It's a 500 1x12 combo, for which I have a 1x12 extension cab. This week I took the combo out on its own and once again I was startled by how good it sounds. A little bit of the onboard grit and compression, not much else, and the onstage sound was splendid. I always regretted parting with my ABM which may be why I forget how good the RM is.

Congratulations. Brilliant amps, wonderful sound, way more power than you imagine it should have. They sounded awesome back in the day and they still sound awesome now -

Yep. It's a beast. I had a brain fart and went ampless into the void last week. Second gig was in a field first in a large pub. The Elf popped out of my cables bag and saved both days. It's a brilliant piece of kit

Just picked up the Joyo Flanger from BC. Now I only need the Pipe Bomb compressor and the Ocho octave pedal to complete the set. Shame they don't do an LS2 clone but I have no idea how they could bring that off in such a tiny form. Wonderful pedals the Ironman series. Really good quality sounds, superb construction and a great design.

This place can be a very supportive community. Easy to forget that. I hope things improve for you soon -
Just bought a pedal I've been after from Richard. Super fast delivery, excellent packaging very fairly priced, super communication. This is how a real Basschatter does business 5 stars. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Indeed. I love my Ashdown. I just feel something spiritual happens when I play through the Ampeg. It's all personal taste at the end of the day.
-
I have an Ashdown CTM 100 and an SVT CL The main and massively important difference is weight. The SVT is a heavy, heavy beast. Sound wise, and this is just my opinion, nothing on earth compares with an SVT. It has to be that good or no one would ever bother to lift one. It's a bigger, louder amplifier than the CTM but there is a bigger CTM you can buy. The Ashdown is a beautiful amp, but the SVT is an experience.

No. I leave mine for months at a time untouched and they are always fine when they get an airing.

Oh yes I agree. Some pedals would need a series of videos!
-
Oh how I wish every manufacturer could produce instruction videos as good as this.

Yep this is my situation. I alternate gear. Don't buy any more because my money has gone but I have enough to swap stuff around.

I always find it incomprehensible that folk form a loving bond with a wholly inanimate, impersonal object like, say, a car or a house, and yet here I am genuinely bereft at the passing of a loudspeaker. Strange chaps us humans. I just plugged into my hefty old 15" Trace Elliot cab and annoyed the neighbours one last time. Dreamed of owning this when I was a callow bass player with a Woolworths guitar and a head full of dreams. Now I'm at the far end of that road, grizzled, cynical, ancient beyond counting, and I can neither afford a vehicle that can carry it nor lift the damn thing. I put a solid old fashioned amp into it and cranked it beyond any level of neighborhood decency. Still sounds as amazing today as I dreamed it would way back when. It's going to a new home, for a new lease of life. I hope it will still bring joy long after I'm returned to dust. Adieu old friend, you were such a heavy ba$tard.

Looks very exciting. I like a bass synth. However, as it's nearly 300 quid I'm happy to wait.
