Can't seem to find the cause so I'm after suggestions. I get that classic sting when simultaneously touching microphone and bass strings. I get it with different basses, different amps, different effects, different extension leads, in different bands using different pa systems, in different venues. Sometimes it's sufficiently strong that I can shock my band mates if I touch them while holding my strings. Frankly I'm a bit fed up with it now.

Couple of pub gigs this weekend. Well received and a couple of people even noticed the bass player. I was accosted in the car park and complimented. A very pleasant footnote. These gigs are a bit rough and ready, people out to get hammered, have a dance and a singsong, but not out specifically to see us. I have no snobbery around this at all; I'm a musician, my job is to entertain people not judge their lifestyle. Having experienced venues with back stage rooms, riders, quality PA and all that jazz there are times when I think how nice it would be to be back up there again. However I quickly squash such thoughts, reminding myself that not long ago I couldn't get any kind of gig at all.

Don't know if anyone else is getting anything from all this, but I am really finding out about my multi effect as a result of doing them. In fact it's an excellent way to learn. I found the b3 daunting when I bought it. Way too many options. But having a specific task has helped me to focus in on a handful of the effects which in turn has led me to understand the whole thing better So thanks for the thread.

Or if a Bristol Basschatter is going north I can pass it to them or drive up to say Brum for petrol and meet you. Whatever works man.
