I had a trade deal set up for this but the other guy appears to have pulled out, so up for sale is this much used, naturally roadworn, some might say battle scarred, old beast. Made in the Matsumoku factory it is a heck of a thing to play. So why so cheap? I hear you cry. Well it's got a couple of weird switch related shenanigans beyond my knowledge base. It works, you can use the tone and switch one of the switches to great effect. the other switch seems to do either nothing or turn the sound off. It's been suggested to me that maybe the switches themselves just need replacing, who knows. I include a video to show it very much works. You can't hear it on your phone very well but I just put through my pc amp and speakers and it's thunderous. I've attempted to show a good sample of the chips and dents on both body and neck. I have taken off and then absent mindedly mislaid the battery cover so there is a home-made temporary replacement there. Rest assured I'll post on the real one once I track it down. This is the active edition of the Thunder 1 with an 18v pre amp no less. If you've always fancied a go on a piece of 80s bass history here's a cheap way in.

Ah but there's the rub. How can we ever know why people are wearing hats? There are so many reasons. We can't read their minds and even if we could they might be confused as to their own reasons. It's a conundrum this hat business.

It all depends on what I'm offering being to his taste of course. It is a lovely bass but I have others similar to it. I have nothing like the Yamaha I don't know...

See that beauty in deepest tobacco and black plate? I'd never seen one in the flesh until recently. A guy rehearsing in the same place as us had one and by jimminy it was something to behold. Not fussed about the black and green ones (although I'm sure they play and sound fine) but the others have me drooling.

Steam Railway, Swindon. Nice venue, friendly staff, punters usually up for a good time. A bit quiet due to the bank holiday but those present enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Only blot on an otherwise fun evening: Despite using the space suggested by the venue, the same one I always use, in the carpark of a row of shops all closed at that time of night I came out to a parking fine stuck under my wiper. 75 quid. So taking my petrol into account that cost me dearly to play tonight. I can't believe anyone patrols a virtually empty carpark at 9 o'clock at night. Nor that a private company has the legal right to issue fines. Ah well, I shall say the serenity prayer and try to get some sleep.

Just bought a fretless. As I was en-route to a gig it came with me. He'd a playful noodle in the sound check. Sounded gorgeous so I went for it. Half time break and only a couple of dodgy moments and only a handful of gratuitous sliding into the final note. I'm loving this

I rather like the look of this. Which is odd as I'm not usually a pale fretboard kind of guy. Sorry to hear you're calling it a day, hope someone snaps this up for you soon.
