  1. Gorgeous! What a looker. Anyone considering this rest assured you can deal with Zander with absolute confidence. Great guy.
  2. Grado. Every time. Sadly the SR80s aren't made any more but they fit your needs perfectly. EDIT: Sorry - my old model is unavailable but there is a new SR80 e available https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grado-SR325e-Prestige-Backed-Headphone-Black-Silver/dp/B00L1LXOWS?th=1
  3. Two empty 15" ported bass cabs need a home. Come to Somerset and take them away. More info: 2 x heavy duty (but light) twin ported bass bin cabinets that will take 15 in bass drivers (no drivers fitted). Suitable for bass guitar or PA project. Cabinets are sturdy and in very good condition. The heavy duty carpet covering is intact and the cabs have recessed carry handles and recessed connection panel which has speakon/jack/screw terminal connections. Also there is a pole mounting socket on the top of the cab to allow for mid/high frequency speaker cab to be mounted. Collection only
  4. That is lovely. Sparkle without being tacky. I like it.
  5. Played in a Madness trib for a few years. Wonderful basslines to almost every tune
  6. Keep an eye on Amazon. They had a couple for under £180 not long back.
  7. I've been where the OP is and it's not nice. I ended up taking a long break. Didn't pick up the bass for a couple of years. Since I've come back I've experienced such a change in my feelings towards what I play that I don't care where or what it is. Making music is such a wonderful thing to do. In a rehearsal room, at home, a wedding, a pub, jams, open mic nights l just feel glad to be creating music. So for me it was a psychological change rather than a musical change. But it only came about in conjunction with major changes in my life. Our experience will be similar but our individual stories different. I hope @spongebob you rediscover the love of music in a way that suits you. Chemistry between players is so vital, maybe rock up at some informal jam nights and see if you click with someone. Could be a start.
  8. Considered a clear one with just a hint of colour?
  9. Beauty. And a bargain too by the look of it.
  10. I didn't spot it right away, I thought here's a man who's happy with his bass, they will surely never be separated. No this is true love, until death do us part stuff. It was like you'd cast a spell
  11. Oh it's also a finely written review with great photos.
  12. This is genius, 8th Dan level, Ninja marketing. A superb glowing testimonial, igniting burning GAS left right and centre so when the bass turns up on the for sale page in a fortnight a gagging populace starts a bidding war. Sir, I salute you
  13. Oh my! Can't count the times I've heard this song without really listening. Thank you, and the OP for bringing TB to my attention. Wow.
  14. Absolutely right but you see it's unlikely I'd have been drawn to that song in the first place if it was carp. And I meant to say the bass line would be one of the reasons not the sole reason I was drawn to the song.
  15. Absolutely no argument from me. When I say the bass part is one of the reasons I like the song in the first place I'm not only referring to virtuoso, faced paced, up and down the fretboard stuff. I love a solid repetitive line as much as the next guy and its very aptness would be what drew me to it.
  16. Just bought a bass from Andy. The couriers tried to scupper our transaction but his packaging was equal to their worst efforts. Great comms right through the deal, can happily recommend Jus Lukin to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling with him.

First time I've dealt with Kev and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Fantastic comms, bass well packed and in excellent condition as described. Great guy to deal with, totally painless transaction a pleasure to trade with
  18. It's interesting how many people seem able to draw distinction between the song, or band and the individual bassplayer. To me the bassline is such an important part of what makes a great song. It's one of the reasons I love many songs, the bass part reaches out and grabs me, makes me smile. This isn't to the detriment of the song any more than a wonderful lyric or fine trumpet solo or beautiful voice would be. Yes the song comes first for me but the brilliant bass part is one reason I love the song in the first place.
  19. Best vegan scram ever. Try to keep me away. Have the ladies considered opening early for breakfast maybe? I'll be first in that queue too.
