  1. Ah - thank you for this, exactly the kind of advice I was hoping I'd receive. Would you say the idea was inherently flawed then? Is there a temporary solution? Reduce the volume of air in the box with a rolled up sweater or something?
  2. Seriously? Damn. I have to see it. And buy it off you one day.
  3. Oh god. I'm in love with these Soviet bass stylings! Here's another favourite https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tonika-bass-Sverdlovsk-USSR-vintage-Rossia/192628465034?hash=item2cd98d1d8a:g:gwoAAOSwcTRa0wzL
  4. You'll love it. I'm a huge Zoom fan. The flexibility, potential and price make it a no brainer.
  5. Just ordered my plywood to be cut up for me. I'm making two of these little babies but with an initial Stewblack Bodge ™. Let me explain. Funds are tight, and I already have two 10" speakers. Sat in a shed. Not going to get to Dorset any time soon where @stevie kindly offered to measure the " T-S parameters " of my drivers for me so we could work out a cab designed for them. Therefore I'm going to make these cabs but with a 10" hole not 12" in the baffle. I know, I know these are scientifically designed to house 12" drivers but this is only a temporary measure. Once funds permit I propose buying the recommended speakers and making my hole bigger(!) Then I can get my T-S perambulators measured up and make some 1 X 10 cabs too. Meantime my lust for building is slaked and my 10" drivers cease languishing. In a shed.
  6. Damn that's a fine groove to sit on!
  7. This works too herbie chameleon bass sound2.mp3

  9. Patch level 100 balance 62. This gets reasonably close with my P Bass bridge pickup tone full on - but all instruments sound different - pick or finger style, how hard you hit the strings, flatwounds or round will all affect it so feel free to tweak and play.
  10. Not yet, but I'm going to have a bloody good go at finding out...
  11. Strengths: Keep time, always carry a spare ( two of everything at every gig), entertaining on and off stage, experienced, hard working, help with the pack down, learn my parts properly, always trying to improve. Give the audience 100%, play with my eyes up so alert for band leader's signals, go where I'm sent and do what I'm told. Sober, drug free, good gear. Weaknesses: Fall in love with all female band members all the time. Intolerant of lazy show ponies and shrinking violets alike. Crap car and no money - sooner or later this will hurt me. Over enthusiastic at times and confused when all band members don't immediately see the wisdom of my brilliant ideas. Get swept away by the music sometimes and yell at the audience/make inappropriate 'jokes' between songs.
  12. Oh yes. Is this a weakness? I suppose intolerance must be, but my goodness it's one I share.
  13. Alex is a smashing bloke and great to do business with. Fast comms, honest and accurate descriptions. Bought and sold from and to him and he drove literally hours to meet me half way. A true gent - feel safe and happy trading with him.
  14. Golden hour refers to that time of the day when the sun is low in the sky and casts a beautiful light, we photographers love it! You reminded me of a gig I once did in deepest, darkest Somerset where a crowd of happy revellers suddenly drained from the room. Transpires the lunar eclipse was happening and presumably these ingenuous bumpkins wanted to go out and throw stones at it. Very odd when you lose a crowd all at once and it's nothing you've done.
  15. Thank you! Sat home with a flu bug so playing pedals is about all I feel up to right now
  16. Say yes to every opportunity that presents itself, never assume you won't be good enough. If it isn't want you want you can walk away but you'll never know if you don't try.,
  17. I suppose with all the instructional information on the internet we can all tweak them with confidence these days.
  18. My younger self was never afraid of tweaking his truss rod.
  19. Here you go https://drive.google.com/file/d/144z1Bu95HJ-WQPCKgn253EBTGVW2Zd-u/view?usp=sharing Although now I come to think of it this can't be the exact original can it? I think I read that the B3 shipped with 50 presets and 50 empty slots for us to play with, mine was 2nd hand so I don't know. Anyhoo download that drag and drop it to the PC icon and BOOM!
  20. Some screenshots : First the original factory presets stored in PC dragged and dropped from Zoom Online folder Now my copy of that folder with just A0 altered and renamed. So either A0 file can be dropped into the User Area onto any patch number and thus will be on my B3 when I disconnect from the PC. It's also a wicked audio interface by the way. And has pre / post DI which is useful.
  21. Ah I didn't know - I jumped from B1 to B3 as I like the idea of being able to use both patches and three individual stomp boxes.
