  1. I'll get your coat
  2. Nice one! Genius.
  3. I did this recently with a strap button. Used a cocktail stick the pointy end made insertion simple! Great hack thank you.

Any advice please. Ideally something with level controls for each output. And a good one rather than cheap and cheerful. Thanks.
  7. Genius genius genius. We're on a roll folks!
  8. Genius! Just what I'm looking for.
  9. Hey that's great. Why don't we expand this into a top tips and hacks thread for folk who enjoy finding curious solutions to bass related problems? Edited title and OP to reflect this. Yet another astounding idea. I'd better be careful my foot doesn't fall off.
  10. Cheers mate - this is what I was referring to in the private message.
  11. It's nice to be conversing with a person of taste and exceptional insight. Furthermore with a person who appreciates the great ideas which have shaped our times. Like the electric light bulb, penicillin and my over the door cable tidy.
  12. Look, tidy is a relative concept. My cables dangling from the door like that are 200% tidier than lying in a feckin' great tangled heap on the floor. Of course I now have nowhere to hang my clothes.
  13. Ha ha - I've amazed, confounded and baffled you with my Einstein like inventiveness
  14. Thank you. Space is at a premium for me so as small as it is it's not really going to fit - but good luck with the sale.
  15. Come on, this is the work of a genius. Surely. No?
  16. What are the dimensions of the cab please? BF site suggests 19.5" H x 13.5" W x 13.5" D but I'm not certain I'm looking at the right cab.
  17. Let's share our weird and wonderful ideas for making life that little bit easier in the world of bass. Even if they appear long winded and silly and actually use more effort than they save. I'll start: One of those over the door clothes hanger thingies available from all B&M, Poundland type outlets makes a great cable tidy.
  18. You've inspired me! I have a lovely lightweight combo which just, and I mean just, about coped at band practice. It has an output for an extension speaker which could make the difference I need. However the entire point of the small combo is ease of getting the thing in and out of the car so I want something small. Now I also have a very nice 2 X 10 in a scruffy and above all heavy cab with damaged grill that I don't mind taking apart. I reckon I could make a little 1 x 10 like yours employing one of the speakers from this unused overweight cab. So thank you for showing me it can be done. To be frank I'm a little intimidated by the high tech talk around here, although I love reading the threads.
  19. Interesting you say that, another tune we do has a couple of lovely bass runs which I can play pretty nicely on my own or with the original recording yet when I've played it in rehearsal they never quite work. I suspect the drummer and I need to spend a little bit of time together on them. Perhaps their old bassist played something different.
