  1. Hi, I have both and they are both superb. Both are compact, light, and powerful. I honestly could not choose between them. Two top quality amplifiers at unbeatable prices. You'll be happy whichever you choose.
  2. I wish him a long and happy retirement. He has enriched my life beyond measure. His playing was one of the major reasons I wanted to play the bass.
  3. Such a brilliant idea
  4. 100% recommend it. No pc editing is such a bonus. I can edit the sound instantly on stage like with any pedal. Also the pedal I want to turn on and off remains displayed which is a great feature. But above all the sounds are amazing
  5. Which specific model is it?
  6. Superbly expressed
  7. Thank god you're so far away. Unusual and purple 💜 💜 💜 💜
  8. This was me. For decades. I started taking lessons a few years ago and my playing and understanding of the instrument has improved beyond recognition. Each to their own of course, but after a lifetime of trying to invent the wheel I now see the world differently.
  9. Last two days I've been listening to the new Larkin Poe album. 👌
  10. Can't tell you what the first bass song was as they were all originals and long since forgotten. First song i ever learnt on guitar was Eddie And the Hot Rods, Do Anything You Wanna Do
  11. My venues are less salubrious...
  12. I play a couple of places on a regular basis, and they both make the black hole of Calcutta look like a Christmas Tree. Can't see my hand in front of my face. Now as I'm reading for most of the gig it's not the end of the world but I do need to check my hand position now and then. So this is my solution. It's a rechargeable light intended for reading but fits rather neatly on my strap. This be the link. https://amzn.eu/d/bJPITDq
  13. Thank you.
  14. Indeed.
  15. This is the point. The faster and easier it is to get the sound you want using only the controls on the pedal, the faster and easier it is to adjust in a gig situation.
  16. I only had it for a short time before I had to leave for the gig. Therefore I programmed no special patches just half a dozen individual effects in the first six preset slots. If I needed an effect in a song I scrolled to it and kicked it in when I needed it. I'll give you a more in depth review when I've had time to play.

  17. First gig with the new Zoom (new to me, anyway) and despite only having had it for a few hours it was brilliant. Quick and easy to adjust on the fly, awesome sounds; I could use this and no other pedals quite happily. I've got so many pedals from boutique to big name, no name, hand made, Chinese clones, classic old school, plastic cases, hand painted, digital, analogue, big, tiny super expensive and dirty cheap. But this pedal produced such an amazing bass sound tonight - nothing else I own could do better. Fair to say I'm blown away.
  18. I couldn't resist. Pedal board is back in the car
  19. Been rehearsing in a start up reggae band. Had the first session where everyone clicked the other day. I can honestly say that playing reggae bass is a wonderful experience. Meditation ain't in it. I could play the same two bar riff for hours without noticing the time going by.
  20. I've just joined the club! Very excited to play with it. Edit: After 20 minutes I can safely say I love it. Extremely tempted to gig it tonight. Always loved Zoom pedals, so simple to navigate, no need for a manual or a computer.
  21. I've just expanded my Zoom armoury.
