I test the fundamental 'bassitude' of any set up with the scientific rigour for which I am rightly famous. 1. Bring gear into my room. 2. Turn up volume. 3. Plug in and play bass. 4. See if the door and windows rattle in their frames. The 2 Trace Elliot 1x10" cabs passed the test.

I have no idea what if any similarities it has to any other brand. Plenty of folk here saying how excellent it is. I tend to go with Basschatters' reviews rather than any others. But hey if you don't like the sound of it you don't have to buy it.

I've been using these. I bought them because all the Lekato stuff I have has been excellent. They're absolutely perfect. Can't ever imagine needing anything different.

The Digitech Ricochet is absolutely brilliant. If it's the same insides as the Drop I would recommend it to anyone. You can set it an octave up and play chords and it is literally indistinguishable from a g****r.

No such thing as a stupid question. Each cab has two sockets so they're easy to link together. Also they are combination sockets which accept either 1/4" jack plugs or speakon connectors. The kind of detail I like.

I have played Fairytale but no others so far this December. And that one only once. They loved it by the way

Those of you wishing you might have the Tube version. I've just given them both a run and I think I actually prefer the MOSFET. I prefer the controls and the sound. Only my humble opinion of course.

Bought a cab from Dan and it was as smooth a transaction as one could hope for. Beautifully packaged, fast delivery, exactly as described and great communication throughout. Delighted to recommend this most excellent Basschatter.

I have both iterations of this amp. Very different in terms of getting a sound, but not difficult to 'dial in' (as the cool kids say). I'm going to be trying them both on my mini Trace stack when the second cab arrives today.

If you're thinking of snapping one up, ignore the naysayers and listen to those of us who actually gig them. Really loud, powerful, versatile, reliable amplifiers, lightweight and solidly built.

I have been focused on scaling down my cab size lately. So.. I've got one of these little beauties coming from BC marketplace next week, and picked one up via FB market today. It's a fantastic combination. I love the way the current owners of this historic brand have maintained both quality and the original aesthetic - and put it in a package I can carry. Of course it's a wrench not to stand in front of a big stack of trouser flapping speakers but needs must. Beautifully made and finished, can't wait to get the second one and gig them.

I have sat it on a variety of cabs. Barefaced, Ashdown, old school Trace Elliot to name a few. It's a great amp.

I paid more second hand and was perfectly happy with the deal.
