Action is entirely a matter of personal taste so I can't comment but I never have a problem with the out of box set up on a Harley B. Never touched a nut slot on them either. Never had a machine head problem. The action on this one was a tad high for me, trussrod tweaked and away I went.

Can't speak to it's longevity - it looks solid - but it makes set up/pack down a doddle

Arrived on Friday afternoon, gigged later that evening. Not much to say, I am no longer surprised at the utter quality of Thomann's house brand. A really comfortable bass to play, light as a feather, great sound, stayed in tune - kind of ticks all the boxes

I thought so. In my quest for ever lighter loads this appears a great option.

This . A hundred times this. Don't listen to the naysayers. You've had an idea, you want to follow it through, it sounds fun, so crack on. I took the speakers out of a crazy heavy cab once and bunged one into a smaller cab of a different make and it sounds, to my ears, way better than it used to. You take way more pleasure out if something you've created.

Made the mistake of gigging in the west country during Glastonbury weekend. The handful of folk there gathered enjoyed the band. I enjoyed my new bass, but didn't enjoy not stuffing crumpled notes into my back pocket at the end of the evening. Green King. Wonder when we'll get paid?

Should never have sold my ABM. Very happy with the RM, but the ABM was special.

They usually do walk around, in my experience. Especially as the desk is now a tablet.
