  1. The American sound is my 'always on' pedal of choice. I like the tone controls and the way it helps me sit in the mix. The Oxford I plan on using to kick things up to a more distorted, louder sound for filling beneath solos and such.
  2. Mine has arrived, second hand from here. Not gigged it yet but had a play at home. Different again from all the others in this series. Hard to describe a pedal with such a variety of sounds available. It's not fuzzy, not ratty, more..throaty? Either way another great Joyo pedal.

  4. I was in the opposite situation which is why I bought the tube one - I just had to try it! I find the MOSFET easier to get the sound I like. Probably because I'm more familiar with it than through any failing in the tube model. But honestly, they're both great.
  5. I have the Veyron M and the T. Gigged both, either will do you proud. Seriously loud, reliable amps in a lightweight package
  6. Not home but at the singer's home after a private party in some god forsaken part of Wiltshire. Went really well, a lot of extremely drunken people which is never pretty but they were well behaved. Used the Nuke in biamped mode. Sounded mighty
  7. I don't wish to start a thread derailing debate so I'll retire from the conversation.
  8. "don't use ivory, ivory is bad" Uses a piece of bone instead 🤦
  9. Belt and braces!
  10. There is at the moment for sure. But I never leave home without my Elf.
  11. That would look awesome with a tort scratch plate 😉
  12. Just received a pedal, arrived well packaged after an entirely painless transaction. I'm more than happy to recommend this most excellent Basschatter.
  13. I wouldn't dream of it
  14. I always feel sad when I sell an amp. But you're right I can't lift it
  15. No idea I'm afraid. Not familiar. I have an SVT CL. But that's different.
  16. Ssshh. I'm hoping it'll still be here come payday
  17. So many great amps for sale right now, and I'd like to get my mitts on many of them. Funds wouldn't quite stretch to them all but two came my way this week. The Behringer BX4500H I've owned since my kids were little. They have their own kids now and the amp is beginning to get a bit battered and bits are dropping off. Time to retire it then. Imagine my joy when I was offered one, delivered to my door, in perfect condition. In my experience and opinion it's probably the best kept secret of the bass amp world. It sounds absolutely phenomenal. I also scored a Bugera BTH3600, known less formally as The Nuke. I wanted one of these when they first came out and simply couldn't resist this opportunity. I remember all the wailing a gnashing of teeth at the Bugera and Behringer brands all those years ago, and I'm so glad I ignored it. I now own three of each of their amps and I can't wait to gig The Nuke...once I work out what all the nobs and buttons do!
  18. It was so reasonably priced and in perfect nick. Happy days
  19. Thank you. These are going to be so useful
  20. Thank you Woody. Great review and answered all my questions.
  21. Love the bass on this!
  22. Is it possible @lownotehas no current feedback thread? This one appears a little dusty. Anyway, be that as it may, I just completed a joyously simple transaction with him and am now the proud owner of an amp. It came crazy fast and packed so diligently that nothing short of a military strike could have damaged it. I'm delighted to recommend this most excellent Basschatter.
  23. Maybe ask Tim at Gig.ink? He has probably provided covers for cloth fronted cabs
  24. Chill out man. It's not up to you how other people work, you can only keep your side of the street clean. How you are as a person, how you interact with others - these are the absolute most important things and they will be the things that get you work and repeat bookings. The singer has already said it makes her uncomfortable - a big warning bell should have rung right then. I've been in part time bands with people who try to control everyone else and it never works. Unless they set up and run the band by their rules and this is clear from the get go, in which case I suck it up or leave depending on their ability to get me work. Even then no one tells me how to work, how to learn songs, whether I can have chord charts or not. It simply isn't their business.
  25. 1cm squares of velcro stick as many as required around the edge of the grill. Don't have cloth grill so I can't say how that would work I'm afraid.
