  1. Easy load in, bed by midnight. Always the best gig.
  2. Been offered a lend of a baritone, but having just spent money which was meant for an invoice on a bass I don't need I'm going to hold off. Don't need full blown gas attack.
  3. My rule is if all my basses went up in smoke other than the one in my hand, and I couldn't buy another, would I be happy to gig and record with it for the rest of my time. If yes happy days. If no - for any reason no matter how small - it has to go.
  4. Gone for this sunburst 4, p j. Now to find some money to replenish my poor bank account.
  5. No argument from me - each to his own of course. I'm just saying I've got basses cost literally 10 times as much (which I also love) so I can compare, and I've still never felt the hardware let's the Harley Benton range down. But if others feel differently that's cool too.
  6. I don't know about other people but I've never needed to change the hardware on my Harleys. Not saying I haven't done it, I put @KiOgon switched tone pots in two of mine because they look cool and it was fun to do. I also put black strings on my two matt black ones, not because the HB strings are poor - far from it - again just cosmetic tinkering. I'm glad these basses have arrived, I've a few low priced items in my basket waiting for something to get me into free postage territory. Included in this are some of the new higher quality HB strings (including a set of flats) which I'm excited to try
  7. Hate is far too strong a word for me to use in relation to an inanimate object. However the muff is not anything I ever want to do to my sound. Bought it tried it sold it.
  8. Ok , had a look at the four string versions, I like the white, something odd about the blue body with that fretboard, but the sunburst wins.
  9. Oooooh. So the only decision now us which colour..
  10. Definitely interested, just need to sort the financials. This may or may not be possible. I'll see what I can do.
  11. Honestly there is so much variety available given not just the multiplicity of tone knobs, but the ultra high/ultra low switches and above all the shape control. I keep this around the 10 to 12 area as I particularly like it there but it offers a lot of choice
  12. Thank you. I will give it all some serious thought. Particularly in respect to application.
  13. This is really cool. Could have some bass application too https://youtu.be/acsJg2pMCeY

  15. Not got it yet. Spent my money unwisely, but it'll be happening soon. That demo is amazing
  16. Yeah I believe they will have a rhythm section, but then I hoped Cory Wong would be bringing the Wongnotes so what do I know?
  17. Next, I'm seeing Larkin Poe, but I'm more excited by having just scored a ticket to see Norm with Wilko Johnson in July.
  18. I am a headstock decal snob 😂 but I still have two Bass Centre basses. They're that good.
  19. If this seems too good to be true, just put that thought from your mind. I've bought from this guy before and he is a great seller always with mouthwatering prices.
  20. Hmm. Beginning to wonder if maybe others don't share my love of these Harley Benton basses
  21. Ah but we don't know if it is the same as the Aria. And fwiw 400 would be extremely expensive for a HB. But I take your point, if it's the same as a £400 Aria, given the HB pricing structure it would cost about 50 quid
