  1. Bought a pedal from @Skin Lewis which not only came sans postage charge, but was actually hand delivered by the man himself! A speedy, painless transaction, an excellent pedal in great condition, and service second to none I am delighted to both start his well deserved feedback thread, and to recommend him to the community.
  2. Is this why I can't stop buying them?
  3. My third pedal in the Ironman series, this came up on the Bay and I won it for a very good price. Joyo are three for three as far as I am concerned. Solid construction, nice design, simple responsive controls - oh and it sounds great. I'm a big phaser fan, if you think of Phil Lynott's sound on Dancing In The Moonlight, you'll have an idea of the sound I like. I'm less keen on the smudged, overly thick phaser sounds and this pedal produces a lovely clean , well articulated phase. Even with the Width and Feedback fully clockwise the notes are clear and unmuddied, the passing is just more pronounced. Winner!
  4. So save it to one of the first six presets?
  5. Basschat discourages negative comments on the price people put on for sale items. If it's too high it won't sell, simple. What vat has to do with it I don't know.
  6. The voices of experience have spoke and there are wise words in what they say. But having just done my first ever modding job I know that it's better to start on an inexpensive bass. As it happens I'm delighted with the result, but if it had been a more expensive instrument and things had not gone well, I'd have been so dispirited.
  7. I understand that the Ultrawave needs to be edited directly to the computer and not via the neuro hub. Can someone explain the workflow to get the edited sound into a scene on the hub?
  8. And spend an awful lot of money too....
  9. I have never found an Ashdown envelope I could use. And the Bassballs is a very acquired taste - even its biggest fans admit it can work on one bass and not another. Dont know the Malekko so I'll refrain. If I had to recommend one, guaranteed to work whatever the bass, and whatever sound you seek it would be the MXR Bass Envelope Filter. Utterly reliable, easy to dial in.
  10. This looks really cool, and ticks nearly all my bass pedal boxes. A couple of things I notice, assuming the signal runs R to L as we look down on it, you have the filter after the envelope, and the booster after the dirt. I've always run the dirt into the filter, and the boost into the dirt. Interested to know your thinking behind this set up.
  11. Well this is so much fun. I'm a simple soul and I like effects I can master in a reasonably short time. And I like them to produce a pleasing noise too. While I could probably approximate the sound of this 'micro' pedal with the other synth options at my disposal, it would be an awful lot of work. This pedal is an absolute belter with all the controls doing something simple and obvious to the sound, and it took mere seconds to find a usable setting.
  12. Just took delivery of a pedal from Gareth. Perfect condition, excellent packaging, lightning fast delivery. Highly recommended Basschatter.
  13. Well if you haven't already bought it back I'll hold off until you do!
  14. Just found your YouTube video. What a great pedal.
  15. Not seen one of these before. Looks really cool.
  16. Can I just say, these are absolutely excellent instruments, and this one is very fairly priced.
  17. My band are out again tonight with another guitarist depping for me. This one hasn't even met them before never mind rehearsing with them. Now I have a clearer picture of how important the bass is to them , it's fair to say their regular bass player will be displaying a markedly more relaxed attitude once he returns.
  18. I have two of these and they're just brilliant.
  19. How exciting! Grape Phaser is on my long list, band I've heard nothing but good things about Earthquaker Devices.
