  1. Finally! A board worthy of my Behringer collection. The CS100 is a place holder for a pedal out on loan right now. I didn't want the plastic Behringer board, vso snapped this up the moment I saw it.
  2. I now want the SY200. A lot.
  3. I was in error. Comparing the SY-1, that prince among pedals, with it's more expensive and considerably more opaque, competition such as the C4. Apologies
  4. To my ears and hands the essential difference is this. The V4 is chunkier, a little heavier, the neck a little heftier and the output a little more robust. They have similar strings and action and swapping between the two, the Squire is a less substantial and more nimble instrument, with a less powerful pick up. However, none of these differences is hugely pronounced, and I am as happy playing one as I am the other. If we are geographically compatible I'd be delighted to let you have a play with both.
  5. It's interesting how some things are a pain to some and not others. To me, spending hours programming presets which then can't be altered to suit the room or band is the pain. Once the pedal is learned, changing on the fly isn't so difficult, and in fact quite fun.
  6. I have both! I shall attend to request forthwith
  7. Hi folks, my replacement pedal arrived today. It's a doozy! Volume, drive, and tone, and a three way selector switch. The switch changes the type of distortion which makes this an extremely versatile little stomp. Dirties the bass from just a little all the way up to full on destruction. Quite a substantial volume boost is available if that's your thing, or its excellent as an always on , just roughing up the edges of the bass. Highly recommended.
  8. I've never used it with an expression pedal. I shall investigate
  9. Just completed a painless pedal purchase. No problems at all, happy to recommend this excellent Basschatter.
  10. Sometimes one just knows when something is right.
  11. I live by a program which teaches acceptance and learning. So I will look on the bright side and try to see this as an opportunity to buy more pedals
  12. It is odd that it worked fine then today is dead, but the non Line 6 PSU was the only thing I did. 🤷‍♂️
  13. The unit doesn't work with either. I've measured the Helix supply with a meter and it's fine
  14. The unit doesn't work with either. I've measured the Helix supply with a meter and it's fine
  15. No, it worked yesterday, today it's a brick.
  16. So I bricked my HX FX. Tried everything the internet suggests but it won't come on. I ran it on a non Line 6 Power Supply (a Diago 3 amp 9v) at practice and it was fine. Now it won't start at all. I've checked the power supply (the proper one) and it's delivering the juice, but the box sits inert. No lights nothing. So before I turn it into an ornament (and monument to my stupidity) is there any suggestion anyone can make?
  17. EDIT DO NOT TRY THIS. I HAVE BRICKED MY HX FX BY THINKING I WAS CLEVER. DON'T BE LIKE ME.
  18. When I started to dabble in effects, I asked a similar question. The recommendation was to go with a Zoom pedal as it was an affordable, giggable platform which would introduce me to the ins and outs of such gear. I did this, and it was an excellent decision. The B1Four has external volume and tone controls which makes it even better than the Zooms I started on. Are they any good? Well put it this way, I have bought hundreds of stomp boxes, a TC Electronic Plethora, a Helix Stomp, and an HX FX since and I still own and use three Zoom multi pedals.
