  1. Reverb is number one? Do people actually buy from it? I've never seen one affordable item there.
  2. Always wondered how a band would sound in a church! What an amazing experience.
  3. St Pat's night gig at the Blue Lagoon in Bristle lady night. I've played there before and it was steaming, expected great things, but it was oddly quiet. A few groups came in drank danced cheered then left. The venue didn't help by leaving the dance floor full of tables. Still, no complaints from me, a Thursday gig is free money.
  4. £550 for the 2x10 seems pretty reasonable. Assuming it really is loud enough to gig with. I'm definitely intrigued.
  5. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. I believe it's spelled as it sounds.
  6. If it was a rosewood fingerboard I'd have been in serious trouble.
  7. I WANT ONE
  8. I voted no because I don't really care either way. What is needed however is a separate place for basses over, say, 750 quid.
  9. The op is spot on. I grind my teeth when I see overpriced basses justified because someone has changed some part or other It's just changed. Not improved. You may think it's better, but that's just your opinion.
  10. This is what Basschat is all about. However each handover should be photographed. It's in the rules.
  11. I only learned recently that Mr Moog couldn't pronounce his own surname. I shall not compound the error by changing the way I say it. See also Wal and Lakland.
  12. You can't let FB rats gnaw their way through this...
  13. This habit of answering questions before we have chance to show our superior knowledge by asking them must be stopped. It'll be the death of the forum.
  14. I took mine to a band practice (just to try it) and it was amazing how it kept up with the band
  15. Awesome little amp isn't it? Ampeg sound in a tiny box.
  16. I love the way they look, and hearing the above positive comments on the sound could make a chap a bit gaseous.
  17. Well I certainly didn't expect this. Took this silly little thing to rehearsal just to push it a bit, intending to switch to the proper amp once we got going. Ended up using it. Into an 8ohm cab I guess it's 25-30 watts 🤷‍♂️ It sounded absolutely superb. And kept up with the 5 piece band. I am utterly amazed.
  18. Little bit extreme, but each to their own. I've only listened to a couple of tunes, and they sounded ok
  19. My little pedal board. Work in progress.
  20. No but it's not much of an issue, most of the effects allow a clean blend.
  21. Just discovered a new band. They're called Weather Report. Don't know anything about them but they're clearly fans of Vulfpeck. Bassist is pretty good, not as precise as Joe Dart but sounds like he's using a fretless so probably going for a different feel. The album is called Heavy Weather, a bit jazzy but don't let that put you off.
