  1. The unit doesn't work with either. I've measured the Helix supply with a meter and it's fine
  2. Nope, deader than flares regardless of which psu
  3. Yep all the mechanical side working

  5. No, it worked yesterday, today it's a brick.
  6. So I bricked my HX FX. Tried everything the internet suggests but it won't come on. I ran it on a non Line 6 Power Supply (a Diago 3 amp 9v) at practice and it was fine. Now it won't start at all. I've checked the power supply (the proper one) and it's delivering the juice, but the box sits inert. No lights nothing. So before I turn it into an ornament (and monument to my stupidity) is there any suggestion anyone can make?
  7. EDIT DO NOT TRY THIS. I HAVE BRICKED MY HX FX BY THINKING I WAS CLEVER. DON'T BE LIKE ME.
  8. You just can't beat Trace Elliot.
  9. Tease!
  10. When I started to dabble in effects, I asked a similar question. The recommendation was to go with a Zoom pedal as it was an affordable, giggable platform which would introduce me to the ins and outs of such gear. I did this, and it was an excellent decision. The B1Four has external volume and tone controls which makes it even better than the Zooms I started on. Are they any good? Well put it this way, I have bought hundreds of stomp boxes, a TC Electronic Plethora, a Helix Stomp, and an HX FX since and I still own and use three Zoom multi pedals.
  11. If I could justify having two...
  12. Quite a lot of angst online about the power supply for my HX FX. And it is awful. Ungainly, awkward on some extension leads, prone to fall apart and the socket in the unit doesn't accept the 'normal' 9v plugs. I have a simple solution. This is what you want. I use a Diago power supply which delivers 3 amps. It runs HX FX, three stomp boxes, and a TC Electronic Plethora.
  13. Unbelievably good pedal, especially at this price!
  14. Seems to be out of stock everywhere I've looked. For the price of two 'fancy' stomp boxes, this looks and sounds like a heck of a thing. I've always loved Zoom multi pedals. For whatever reason I've taken to their operating system very naturally, always found them simple to adjust on the fly, easy to play with.
  15. So... anyone bought one?
  16. Stop it.
  17. I'm in exactly the same position having bought multiple pedals recently.
  18. I am strong. I shall resist!
  19. Oooh....must.... resist.....
  20. The VT Bass uses the same (9volts) and only draws 100ma so they will both run off the same supply - but you'll need a daisy chain cable with minimum two plugs.
  21. Oof. This is on my list of most wanted basses. Come at the wrong time for me after 6 weeks and no work due to covid. Dayum.
  22. It sounds like a great pedal idea, just a little expensive for what it does. I'd almost certainly get one if it came up second hand.
  23. I've heard back from Raygun, they do test before despatch, a replacement is en route and a return being organised.
  24. Well done!
