  2. I replaced my knobs straight away! Green ones to give it a Trace Elliot vibe.
  3. 😂
  4. Aaargh. I heard him pronounce tremolo 'tremollo' twice and had to quit the first video 🤣🤣
  5. I'll report back. It's coming this week sometime.
  6. I was watching Nate Navarro's envelope shootout just yesterday and this one was so clearly the winner. Great pedal.
  7. Sounded amazing. Such clarity, such power.
  8. Couldn't tell you what strings are on most of my basses. I know what I choose to buy in the rare occasions I buy strings, but if a bargain comes up I'll have it.
  9. From the sublime...after my Nuke night yesterday, today I've gone for ...
  10. For no obvious, defensible, or even remotely sensible reason I decided to haul my Bugera Nuke to my Bandeoke gig last night. The venue is big enough but not huge, there's a full PA in situ. As it transpired the decision was fully justified. Sound engineer didn't show, we managed to get some mics working but the backline didn't go through front of house. So I got to enjoy playing at a decent volume and really feel the bass going through me. It was joyful. I used the Nuke biamped with the higher end going to two 2x8s and the low to two 1x10s. There's a control which operates like a tilt shift, once the equipment is sorted it's so simple to bias in favour of the upper or lower frequencies, and the crossover point can also be moved to suit. As usual the place was packed with semi clad nubiles all having a great time. I however had my eyes firmly fixed on the music so headed home with a clear conscience.
  11. I know, but I felt I should apologise as some people can appear personally offended by my choice of equipment. Twenty years ago it was Behringer, now it's Demon FX. Plus ca change and all that.
  12. Fantastic amp at a crazy price. That's my review in a nutshell. I bought it to use with my narrow 2x8 cabs as it wouldn't overhang. The idea being to simply employ the power amp with various different preamps. Obviously I was always going to try it without a preamp and the results were just excellent. It's easy to transport, the onboard compressor is good enough to save a space on my pedal board, the tone controls provide plenty of flexibility and it is as loud as you could want it to be. Put it this way I will be selling my Orange Little Bass Thing now. That should tell you how good it is.
  13. But that's their USP the silly names, the matching cases Anyway your point is the point. I am not splashing out hundreds of pounds I don't have to just try something. I don't pride myself on the labels on anything I own and would rather buy five 60 quid pedal than one with a name on it. I have no idea if these pedals are remotely similar to the originals and I'll never know because I won't be buying the originals any time soon. If my choice of pedal upsets you then I'm truly sorry. I never buy an effect pedal with the aim of hurting someone's feelings.
  14. I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I haven't the cash to go mad buying up preamps at present. However, I am scouring the second hand market and there's an Eden I have my eye on. Next week I should take delivery of an Aguilar clone made by Demon FX , but so far the surprise package has been the Behringer Sansamp clone!
  15. Awesome little powerhouse!
  16. Affordaboard are taking pre orders for this now. Due in next week.
  17. Google says it's an 11 hour round trip for me. I already own two Reverend basses. And yet this is seriously tempting. Utterly amazing instruments, really top class - do not be deceived by the price.
  18. Bristol Bandeoke, Blue Lagoon. It was of course the 31st so lots of crazy costumes and comic turns. Elvis was particularly hilarious. Me and the BL....
  19. I think someone has a wanted ad for a Baseballs.
  20. Can't imagine what you mean
  21. I've always thought Basschat was full of opinionated, selfish, ignorant, boorish people who I'd cross a busy motorway to avoid. However my opinion of you all has improved slightly. Bump.
  22. Do it if you can. Stacked vertically they have a small footprint but the height really helps you hear yourself.
  23. Next gig, this is coming with me. Lightweight cabs, heavy weight stereo head. Let's make some noise.
  24. The curve ball to which I referred was in fact my wife handing me my dinner pail and sending me out into the world alone. So your intuition serves you well. I am indeed no longer married. And much, much happier for it.
