  1. I've had a B3, but a while ago now. In my experience the Zoom Bass effects excel at useable synth sounds. There's enough flexibility built in to the various options to enable the user to come up with something decent.
  2. IIRC there's someone asking for one of these in the Wanted ads.
  3. Don't know if everyone has already seen this but I found some great, clearly explained advice here
  4. I was wrestling with trying to learn sequencer - it's not my first language - but the slicer and whammy came up trumps.
  5. Spent a bit of time with this pedal over the last couple of days. The more I learn about it the better it gets. Discovered the slicer and the whammy and got them to nail the start of Fox On The Run for my glam band!
  6. This wonderful, powerful, great sounding combo is surprisingly easy to move with built-in wheels and well positioned handle, it moves like a sack truck. I've had it parked up for years now because it's too big for my little car. Given the size and weight these beasts are no longer as popular as they once were. So , come and get it. It's yours for the taking.
  7. Used my RM 500 1/12 combo at a couple of recent gigs. The first one (a small outdoor festival) I paired it with the matching 1/12 cab. The second one a bar in Bristol I used the combo on its own. The sound was wonderful on both occasions. What I noticed however - and I've remarked this before - with both cabs it's monstrously loud, an absolute beast. With just the combo it's significantly quieter than I'd expect. I mean I really had to crank the volume to get a decent level. I understand the impedance implications and how these affect the efficiency of an amp, and I have many years of practical experience in the differences playing with two cabs and then one. My point is this is remarkably different from what I'd expect. Anyway, that aside, I'm more than happy to recommend the RM series, and paired with the 12" Ashdown cabs they are particularly good.
  8. My favourite P Bass (and I have a few) bar none. Good luck with your sale, someone is going to be very happy.
  9. Take his hand off. Buy this. Seriously. Brilliant cab and very well priced
  10. Hey Mike - I love it, everyone else loves it too 😊
  11. As has been said it's the Boss Waza Air headphone system. Just the best things ever.
  12. Paddy's a great guy to deal with. Our transaction was simplicity itself and the pedal arrived super fast perfectly packaged. More than happy to recommend this most excellent Basschatter to you all
  13. No. Not from me today. Life is full of moaning and sarcasm. I just can't believe how lucky I am to be in a time of such easy luxury.
  14. Kitchen table rehearsal and if I'd used my wireless bugs there'd be no cables at all.
  15. No. All provided including sound engineer.
  16. The Glam Band I put together recently just had it's second rehearsal. We've now added 17 songs to the set which is pretty good going. I have worked with the drummer in other projects and know how good he is but seeing him at work in rehearsal - wow! This guy is quite incredible. Makes it a joy to be in any band if the drummer is A) a nice person and B) an amazing musician
  17. Bear in mind I have no clue whether we asked the appropriate amount or whether it should have been double - as others have said there's no way to know. We asked for 800 for one 75 minute set.
  18. Well, we got the gig. It's not too far to travel and I managed to double the quote the band were initially discussing going in with. Thank goodness I wore them down. We'd have looked like total amateurs asking for peanuts. My only regret is we didn't go in higher, they virtually took our hands off .
  19. Totally understand. Was great to meet you there.
  20. Sorry, he didn't bite. He likes the look of it very much but is potless right now
  21. You coming south for the South West Bass Bash again this year?
  22. I bought the gold one from this very marketplace. They look and sound fantastic. Imagine the massive sound of a Thunderbird in a lovely lightweight form. If this was closer to home I'd be very tempted.
  23. I've passed this to the band leader in my Irish band. He's not too far from you, in Oxford. I'll let you know.
