  1. It stops the signal coming through below a certain level. So if you have a noisy hissy overdrive, for example, you can dial it down to where it stops the hiss but let's through the louder stuff, i.e. the notes you're playing. You can also use it to chop off the sound the instant it drops below full volume. Beloved by metal guitarists.
  2. So sorry, this should have been bought and paid for by me. I don't know what happened, but if it's still available I will take it.
  3. I have one. It's an absolutely beautiful instrument. At that price you cannot go wrong folks
  4. I have Lekato ones and they're absolutely flawless. Do like the look of the Harley Benton one too.
  5. Absolute diamond of a pedal. Not to be confused with previous Boss Synth pedals. This is the real deal.
  6. Hi Gary, thank you for getting back to me. I made a mistake, thought this did an octave up, sorry.
  7. Sorry I missed this! Yes all is stock except for the @KiOgontone pot switch which I just like.
  8. Fair enough, clearly I got lucky - or you didn't
  9. Absolutely not picking a fight but wondering what is wrong with the tuners? I've never had a problem with mine.
  10. Hello! Is this item available via the post office?

    Preamp

I've ended up with the Fender Downtown Express. Which I've used for a straight to pa rehearsal and it performed admirably. The OD isn't quite to my taste but all else is ace

    Preamp

Looks the dog's doesn't it? I have to say an FX loop should be standard. On any preamp pedal.
  13. I am much more concerned the organisers may be out of pocket. Happy to contribute to a whip round if this is the case
  14. Mike and his family work so hard to bring this event to fruition. Without them I would spend another day typing conversations with distant strangers here on Basschat. Instead I got to meet some of those people in real three dimensional life. I got to geek out about pedals with people who care about them like I do. I got to share stories, to sit and eat wonderful food with folk who felt like old friends within minutes of striking up a conversation. I got to try instruments I'd never seen or heard of, to show off a couple of mine and to compare the dimensions of two tiny amps with men who care as much as I do about such things. This didn't happen by magic. It happened through hard work, an awful lot of time and dedication from @scrumpymike and his family. You made my day, and I am truly grateful.
  15. What's this do then? Intrigued by a pedal I don't know!
