  1. Also remember it's exactly what it is - A TV show. The production companies couldn't care less about the contestants - It's all about the viewing figures and money. I like the analogy that the contestants are like logs being thrown into the furnace to be burnt out powering up the machine for another series and their career is dust as a result!
  2. I recycled a case and Mick met me to collect it. A top man and good chatting with you. Cheers, Jon
  3. Cheers Mick and no problem.
  4. Whoops, I forgot to upload the pics!
  5. Hi All, Gone now, thanks for looking. https://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_ebass_case.htm
  6. I bought Brian’s Limelight P off him and he was a Gent about it - I wasn’t winning the prize for the speediest buyer but he put it on hold for me while I got my act together! Cheers Brian and a top BC’er, it was a pleasure. P. S. Reckon I done my 10,000 steps by 10.30 this morning buzzing around at Download - ouchy!!!
  7. Gary drove over to my place, viewed and bought my bass from me. A great guy to deal with and great to meet you. Cheers, Jon

  10. I just had a query about the weight which is now added to the description above but on my kitchen scales it weighs 2.15 kg/4.74 lbs. Thanks, Jon
  11. Now sold, thanks for looking. As per the title - Brand new and never used. It had all the holes pre-drilled at the factory apart from the pickguard holes. weighs 2.15 kg/4.74 lbs
  12. Thanks for the kind words Chaps and yes, it's a great sounding Stingray indeed. Bump!
  13. Thanks for the info Oldman. Unfortunately I'm too light on funds to go for this at the moment so GLWTS
  14. Hi Oldman, Can you tell me the weight and nut width please? Many thanks, Jon
  15. Thanks Shaggy and yes, I reckon quite a bit lighter than your LP Custom!
  16. Hello BC'ers, Now withdrawn. 1979 Gibson The Paul. It is made from Walnut with an Ebony fingerboard. It's well used and gigged which the dings, bangs, scrapes and knocks show – A natural relic I like to think! The only non-original parts are the black Schaller strap lock buttons and it comes in an old, but fully working, SKB hard case (no key for the lock however). That said the back of the neck and electronics are all in very good condition and it plays great. For completeness it was re-fretted at Chandler Guitars in Kew many years ago and plays like a dream as a result.
  17. NOW SOLD. Musicman PDN (Premier Dealer Network) Stingray Starry Night limited edition model from 2016. It's complete with the MM case, keys, tags and bits 'n' pieces as supplied. It even still has the protective film over the pickguard and barcode labels still on the back! The spec's are: Limited edition sparkle burst finish, Roasted birdseye/figured maple neck wood finished with gunstock oil and wax, 34” Scale length, Unmarked (non inlayed) ebony fingerboard, 11” Fingerboard radius, 21 Stainless steel frets, 1 5/8” nut width (1.625” or 41.275mm), Single humbucker with 3 band EQ. https://www.music-man.com/pdn/starry-night
  18. Hi lojo, Is the neck still available can you tell me please? Cheers.
  19. Thread resurrection! Has anyone gone through the motions of getting a permit to Import Rosewood into the UK through official channels? From what I can decipher it costs £75 for the import permit!?!
